I am playing on "hard" and "ai agressive (both 1 level above normal, can't recall the exact titles of said levels, I'm at work) and I am experiencing "difficulties". I am playing the krauts, and I have successfully taken Poland, however in the mean time, France is rapidly "kicking my ass". At one point, they attacked Stuttgart (I think it was) which has a level 1 fort, and I had 8 fully entrenched, fully healthy 39' infantries in it. Should be nearly impenetrable relatively speaking. However the Frogs attached it with 12 units, 3 of which were militia, 1 armor, and the rest half 36' and half 39' infantry. Baring all other factors, I would say they would be about even. There is no f-ing way in h-ll that those b-tches could win that! They won "easy" simply grinding my as- to dirt in no time. Granted, there was air in this, but that shouldn't have mattered in the short time the battle was taking place. I also had 6 tacs hitting them on their side. That is NOT what I was expecting on hard. That is "too" hard. WTF? Should hard be "smarter" not stacking the deck to impossible odds? At this rate, there is little chance for me to take France at all, even with the krauts having twice the Army size.
Can anyone comment on this? Is hard that much different in terms of the AI "cheating"?
