Where are the Hapsburg at the start of the game? Because when the game comes out for my first game i would like to play as them.

In CK1, they're the counts of Aargau, at least in the 1066 scenario. I assume they'll be in the same area in CK2 and I'm assuming the province is still called Aargau.

Furthermore it now is possible to start at each date between 1066 and IIRC 1337. This would include certain interesting dates for a Habsburg game.
1273 Roman-German king Rudolph I of Habsburg and the struggle with Ottokar II of Bohemia; 1278 Rudolph gains the Austrian lands and in 1282 he invests his sons Albert and Rudolph with the duchies Austria and Styria.
1298 Albert I of Habsburg is elected Roman-German king and in 1306 he succeeds in making his son Rudolph III king of Bohemia (as Rudolph I, rather brief reign, since he died in 1307 in the middle of the process to secure the kingdom of Bohemia).
Concluding now it is possible to start at any date between 1066 and 1337, it becomes possible to start at dates, which are interesting for certain dynasties (like my Habsburg examples).

If I'm not wrong that crest appeared much later than 1066. Still I would not really mind if it would be the house crest.
Also that character should have two brothers called Otto and Adalbert. The sister is there but the brothers aren't. Even if they were dead before the games start it would be historically correct to list them there. Also don't know where the daughter has appeared from as he should have two sons no daughters.

Are there house crests in CK2 now? In the first game, there were only crests associated with titles.
Well, if they're both dead, and without issue, I can see some sense in not having them there.. a little atleasy
That dynastic coat of arms goes back to the 11th-12th century, furthermore quite a few coat of arms appeared after 1066 like the English coat of arms, which appeared in 1198.

Pardon my pet peeve, but technically there have never been crests in any version of CK. The crest is the part of a coat of arms that goes above the shield. It's supposed to represent the cool thing you'd have on top of your helmet if you were a knight jousting at a tournament. But CK Coats-of-Arms never included anything but the shield itself.
As for House Coats-of-Arms, those are definitely present. Last time the devs mentioned them they were all randomly generated, but it was planned that important RL houses would get their proper arms. In that Hapsburg screen the red shield with a white cross on the upper left bit of the family tree is the House Hapsburg Coat-of-Arms, so apparently they haven't gotten to that yet.

Thanks for all the information. Starting as the count of Aargau which seems like a small place might be hard, but i think i will manage. I want to get as much game time in game as possible.
