Always find it amusing when people complain about spending over $30 for a game. If it was released here as a AAA game, it would be $80 - 120.

It's not the money, $5 is like £3, which is less than a cup of coffee. Hell, I just bought a new bicycle for £800 and I only cycle in the summer. It's more about wondering if I'm being a hipocrat for refusing to buy a AAA game for £40, but then buying EU4 for £40......

I look at Paradox games and I look at Matrix games. I know Matrix is really just a publisher, but those wargames they sell, while fun, are usually $70+ dollars and most feel like an eternal alpha stage game. Paradox sells games in the same general niche and their games are loaded with way more content, look really damn nice, get loads of post release support and cost half the price. I seriously just cannot fathom how someone thinks a game like EU4 is too expensive when your options are to get Civ, Total War, or one of the many Matrix games for a lot more money.

Although... that said... I did back Satellite Reigns at £60, and Star Citizen to the level of $300... perhaps AAA games should get less support from me, because they're more mainsteam.....

I agree that you're make the right choice. It's not about is this game AAA or not, it's about does this game satisfy me, and for me the answer to that is HELL YEAH!

Quill. WHY YOU GIVE RANDOM PROVINCES TO AI??? It doesn't help them, increase their overextension, and those provinces will revolt from them anyway. Better would be to gift AI, after war, give them money. You should demand france to give provinces back to provence and burgundy instead, which would cripple france much more, and demand trading laws.
