That was awesome

I'm really enjoying this new AAR of yours, keep it up! Are you going for 'The Kaiser looks towards the future' or 'The Kaiser is a man of tradition'?
Looks to the Future, there can be no Germany who doesn't practice Blitzkrieg, even if there is some dissent. Also free tanks, who doesn't want free tanks?
That was awesome
Danke!

"Long Live our Soviet Motherland! Built by the People's Mighty Hand! Long Live our People United and Free! Strong in our Friendship tried by Fire! Long may our Crimson Flag Inspire! Shining in Glory for all Men to See!" -Chorus of the Provisional State Anthem of Soviet Russia

soviet-patriotic-posters-1.jpg

It was only a matter of time before the Soviets arose from their slumber to meet their natural enemy, National Populism, and now Russia has been thrown into civil war once again.

'Lenningrad', Wrangel's Russia, Early September 1936
----------------------------------------------
Nikolai Bukharin, leader of the Bolsheviks, stood inside his small house in the dingy parts of St. Petersburg, pondering the day. It had been three seasons since Pyotr Wrangel took power in the 'New Russia' and yet things were not new at all, in fact things were just worse, according to Mr. Bukharin. The state was now nothing more than a corporate capitalist puppet wielding nationalism in the name of the people. This was appalling to him and to many others, and many others before him. He fought the battle once, and maybe he would have to again. Revolution against the Bourgeoisie.

While sipping a his tea and reading the daily news, he noticed something very, very peculiar. Something that made him want to gouge out Wrangel's eyeballs, and that something was Wrangel's new way of rebuilding the country: A New Corporate State in the 'Third Rome' and make Russia reduced to bad old times of the Tsars. To make Wrangel at the top and to make everyone else, including the workers and peasants, at the bottom. He spit out his tea and the tea cup itself spilled onto the marble floor and cracked. Bukharin was infuriated beyond imagination, but he now had a Casus belli to finally revive the revolution. Communist Protests were now Riots, mutinies and defections within the army occurred regularly, and the Hammer and Sickle could no longer be suppressed by the National Populist Bandit Armies controlling all Russia. Now was the time to strike, even if no other power would support the working class in the former land of the Tsars.

Bukharin stepped up and left his house with a red flag signed by the greatest socialist revolutionary ever to live, Vladimir Lenin. Something was in the air, it was a familiar sensation to what Bukharin felt in October 1917, when Bolshevism arose to swipe away the enemies of the motherland. Outside, the people were rallying, their hearts bread for revolution, and all they needed was a new leader. Bukharin was that leader, he naturally walked up to a unfilled podium where workers and peasants stood and watched. Bukharin looked up and down, left to right, and he new this was the beginning of something great to him. Russia was rising, but not in the name of National Populism, but in the name of the people, Communism.

"Comrades, Workers and Peasants, Teachers and Children, Politicians and Soldiers, Intellectuals, Marxists, and the People. We have temporarily fallen under the yoke of National Populist Brigands, on behalf of the Bolshevik Party, I greet you and congratulate you on this day, the day the People rise again. Funny enough, today is the day the Bourgeoisie in Germany celebrate their trivial defeat over our Marxist brothers in France. I am sure you all remember how they invaded our country, destroyed our towns and villages, and how they destroyed Bolshevism at it's height. We lost many things when great Trotsky, Stalin, and Lenin all died for the motherland, for our Soviet Motherland which was built by the people's hand. It shall again, today in fact. This city will be renamed in the grace of Lenin, Leningrad. Comrades, Workers and Peasants, Teachers and Children, Politicians and Soldiers, Intellectuals, Marxists, and the People. Will you stand side by side with me, in a new revolution, a September Revolution? Will you fight Wrangel's bandit armies? Will you fight the Capitalist Menace who seeks to destroy you and benefit off your torture? Will you bring down the Third Rome? Will you fly our Crimson Flag?" Nikolai Bukharin asked not only the people of St. Petersburg but all Russia.

The People accepted, the Imperial Flags were brought down and replaced with the one of Marx, the same thing occurred in all west Russia including Moscow, Wrangel's glamorous Third Rome. Wrangel escaped the People's might and fled to Kazan, for now he was safe, for now. The People had risen up once again, not only in Russia but in Ukraine as well, Bukharin's brother-in-arm Nikita Khrushchev was bringing Totalism to Ukraine, the government was surely going to fall when Ukraine have their own revolution against German Imperialism. Even as far away as America the people have elected the Combined Syndicates of America, the Soviets of America. Only the Reactionaries oppose them, and their days are numbered.

"Today Russia, Tomorrow the World!" -Nikolai Bukharin

----------------------------------------------

End of Chapter II: Der Osten in Brand (Part I)
Well, wasn't that something, Bolshevism has risen again, except this time it isn't moderate socialists vs totalists, it's now Fascists vs Communists, nothing can come good out of that as proven by the Second World War in real life. Who will win and who will lose? A Ultranationalist Russia or a Soviet Russia? And what of the things happening in America, where President John Jack Reed holds office? Oh Kaiserreich, you never seem to surprise me. One thing is for certain, the peace that settled upon the continent of Europe has been shattered, and it's only a matter of time before it spreads to our sacred Germany we're playing. On another note, I have not played past 1936, so feel free to make predictions as to what craziness will happen in 1937. That's it and good bye.

"This is what happens when you let Barbarians run the East, it catches Fire." -Kronprinz Wilhelm III

United Baltic Duchy, Late September 1936
----------------------------------------------

393807890.jpg

As soon as war broke out on MittelEuropa's most unstable eastern neighbor, Mütterchen Russland, the United Baltic Duchy, White Ruthenia, and Ukraine all were reinforced with German Equipment and Manpower just in case things took a turn for the worst.
The mighty German Empire for once in all it's history was at an all time low. Things were rapidly getting closer to the turmoil of the Weltkrieg, except it was as all things were nowadays, worse. The economic miracles of the 1920s were gone, dragged away and beaten by the Black Week, the armed forces were capable but were not at their best, years of military setbacks and old guard generals were responsible for this, and now ever since the beginning of the disastrous year of 1936, Europe was returning back to the bad old times, when war was looming in the air every day. MittelEuropa was no doubt the only thing keeping order in the European Continent, but even then the alliance was unraveling. Lithuania and White Ruthenia had one of the most hard forces to combat, Nationalism. It was no secret that secret services and other ways were being used to eradicate the idea of a 'Greater Lithuanian Empire' or a Russia ruled from Minsk, and Ukraine had an even bigger, more pressing problem. Syndicalism. Syndicalism was the cancer that was threatening all of Europe, it had already infected the French and Italians, spreading to the British Isles in 1925, but it was Germany who kept it at bay. Many shudder to think what would have happened were Germany not prepared for such a war against the Internationale, everything Europe stood for would be gone, and everything the Kaiserreich had fought for would be in vain. Ukraine was on the brink of falling to revolution, and a revolution in the bread basked of MittelEuropa would be beyond destructive for the German Economy and order itself. For these reasons, resources needed to be efficiently spared in order to save MittelEuropa from collapsing in on itself, and that meant the end of a German Colony, Crete. While not directly ruled by the Kaiser, the Cretan State was created after Bulgarian and German Victory over the Greeks in the Weltkrieg, however it was probably not the best choice. For one, Crete needed larger funding than most colonies, and two, Greek Nationalism was too large to suppress, the colony was a burden, and so the Chancellor, Franz von Papen, decided to sell the island back to it's original owner, the Greeks, for money of course. In a night, German Forces left the island and the Greek Flag was raised over Crete once again, one problem solved, a thousand more to face.

Greek Soldiers raise the Greek Flag over Crete, the territory was at first considered to be given to the Ottomans but they as Germany had enough problems to deal with.

Berlin's focus on the Mediterranean shifted however in the first month of Summer, June, to the continent of the Africans. On June 9th, 1936, the Arab Congress was held in Cairo Egypt, hours away from the German Suez Canal. While officially the Arab Congress was just 'promoting Arab Culture' and 'establishing brotherhoods between Arab Nations for peace', this was without a doubt a lie. Ottoman Spies confirmed this when plans were made to dismantle the Ottoman Empire and remove it of it's Arabian Provinces, this was not only a national threat to the Sultan but also to his friend in Germany, the Kaiser. There is no doubt that should the Ottoman Empire be stripped from it's power, the Suez would be next, this could not happen, why? Because like the old British Empire, the Suez is the lifeline connecting Germany to her important colonies in Asia, especially the Allgemeine Ostasiatische Gesellschaft based in China. While nothing official was said, Germany and her Turkish Ally will keep an eye on Cairo. In MittelAfrika and Ethiopia, another economical problem was brewing. The DPAEB Railroad, a railroad that allowed for raw materials to be transported from the Kongo to Dijbouti and onto to a ship to Germany, was now in danger of declaring bankruptcy. The Kaiser, Ethiopia, and Göring all agreed that the railroad should be sold in order to stop the economic crisis in Europe from spreading any further, and with that, Africa's problems were left to her own, and Germany looked inward.

Untitled 4.png

Untitled 5.png

Untitled 6.png

It didn't take long for Göring to bank on MittelAfrika's economic situation, using the native population, the Kongo was about to become an economic powerhouse.

During the International Conference of Marxist Nations, Women's Rights were a key issue, and the Union of Britain and the Commune of France controversially gave women the same rights as men, all of them, from military service to voting to government, and this angered many women in the German Reich. They weren't mad because of the Syndicalists, but at Kaiser Wilhelm the Great and the conservatives leading the government, protests occurred daily across Germany, from the Maas to the Memel, and from the Estch to the Belt, there was no end in sight and something needed to be done. Most in the Reichstag wanted to refuse these preposterous demands, but doing so would lead to mass dissent and uproar from the dastardly Liberals who would have support from the Syndicalists, possibly even succumbing to the disease that is Socialism in the process. A compromise bill was issued in order to post pone the issue as dealing with women was not on the Reich's to-do-list. Good things did come with the season of summer though, particularly the economic situation in Germany. Despite what most would have thought, the Kaiser's approach to the economic crisis lead to unemployment only rising a little, and it was mostly in the rural regions of Germany, not the industrial heartland. But unfortunately for all, this was not the beginning of a loop around for the terrible things that were happening to the world, and the East were to be the first ones to realize this.

Untitled 8.png

On September 2nd, 1936, the September Revolution led by Nikolai Bukharin and other surviving Soviets brought Communism to the Russian Motherland once more, but only in Western Russia. Pyotr Wrangel should have seen this coming after he took over, the instability of Russia caused by him and his National Populist ideals spread the seeds of civil war in Russia. White vs Red, Brother vs Brother, it was like 1919 all over again, except this time foreign intervention would not be needed, at least on the scale as last time because the Whites had a superior army while the Bolsheviks relied on worker's militias. When Wrangel reached Kazan, the provisional capital of the Russian State, Wrangel declared that state of war existed between the 'True Russia' and the 'False Russia'. 'Russia is One and Indivisible', these were the words Wrangel spat out on the day of the beginning of the Second Russian Civil War. Ukrainian Volunteers wanting to fight the Soviets along with volunteers from other MittelEuropa nations were sent into Russia just to assure a White Victory, an Ultranationalist Russia is better than being encircled again by France, Britain, and the barbaric lands of the east, Russland.

Untitled 12.png

Untitled 13.png

Untitled 14.png

It was clear that many supported Wrangel more than the lunatic that was Bukharin, even his fellow Leftists didn't help him, no volunteers, no supplies, nothing.

Untitled 9.png

Shortly after Russia falling into Civil War, the Imperial Japanese Military took over Japan, keeping Hirohito as a puppet. Japan was now more dangerous than ever.

Untitled 10.png

Nikita Khrushchev and other Ukrainian Syndicalists took the opportunity of the Bolshevik Revolution to publicly express their want for Syndicalism, fortunately nothing drastic happened yet.

Untitled 11.png

As if MittelEuropa needed more Syndicalists to deal with, first Western Europa, then the Soviets, now Sweden.
As Wrangel was battling the Soviets in a brutal battle between National Populist and Communist, moderate Social Democrats, the Mensheviks, met together in Omsk to discuss something. That something was independence from the 'New Russia' Wrangel was building, to make Siberia a bastion of Socialism and Freedom, and considering how Mr. Wrangel is, the White Knight of the Black Sea immediately declared war. The Siberian Government issued a quite funny 'Great Call to the Japanese Empire for Protection', reminding the Kaiser of the good old days when Germany conquered China...good times. Anyway, the Japanese accepted the Siberian call for help, and immediately Wrangel cowardly laid down his arms against Siberia and recognized their independence, for the time being. Because of the lack of support, the Soviets collapsed in December, and by the first week Bukharin surrendered, and needless to say he was tortured before he was sentenced to death for his crimes against the Russian State, the same going for all other Soviets. The Russians wasted no time in trying to restore their control over the newly independent Siberians, despite them being protected by a crazed empire of the Rising Sun. Needless to say things won't be going to well for the Far East should a Second Russo-Japanese War break free.

Syndicalist Madness is spreading, the Americans have elected Syndicalists into power, may god forgive them for the Kaiser wont.

00872A-700x335.jpg

American Union State Officials meeting in Madison Square Garden to protest the election of their mortal enemies, the Combined Syndicates of America.

The East was set on Fire once again when Pro-Russian Protesters were murdered along the Trans-Siberian Railroad by the Siberian Army, followed by a declaration of war by the Siberian Government, bent on saving it's fragile independence. The Second Russo-Japanese War was here, and hopefully it will not end how the first one did, Russia Defeated and Japan Absolutely Victorious. No one wants to the see the Rising Sun Flag over Moscow however the feeling is mutual for Japan, no one wants to see the Imperial Flag of the Tsars hoisted over Tokyo, but whatever happens will happen. Although, a bit disconnected form the troubles of the Far East, the SMS Neuschwabenland reached the coast of the snowy South Pole, Antarctica. The Neuschwabenland Crew will send expeditions into the continent to map it out for once, and claim the land in the name of Kaiser Wilhelm the Great, already has a German Flag been planted on Antarctica. The Mighty German Empire now has conquered the South Pole...should the Kaiserreich be happy or laughed at? It's not that important but hey, it's not everyday a whole continent is given to you. Perhaps the most important event to strike Germany at the end of 1936 was the death of Hans von Seekt, the Hero of China and the Chief of the Army and Staff. His death was unexpected and it was not wanted, now the German Military was left leaderless and cold, no clear focus for the future, three replacements were selected by the Kaiser, whoever he chooses will determine the future state of the Kaiserliche Armee and Germany's Security, that's for certain. And now, Germany stands at a crossroads, she is recovering from the year of 1936 but new problems are on the horizon, the Syndicalists in Paris have already vowed revenge, with the defeat of the Soviets, Russia has been united fully under Wrangel, this is not good, and what of the Entente? They have been quiet, what designs are they working on? The Great Compromise between the Hungarians and Austrians is to be renegotiated once again, whispers of Hungary seeking Independence from Austria are chilling. America is a time bomb waiting to go off, that is for certain, and Spain is being destroyed from within...things could be better...but Germany has endured for so long, she cannot break, ever.

And with the closure of that, another chapter has ended, finally. Please let me know if you like me working on all three parts and releasing them together is better than me just doing it as I go. Also, before you ask, yes, if Russia annexes Siberia I am going to force Japan and Russia to peace out because that is absolutely boring if Japan and Russia are just locked in this Hitler-UK scenario where they control the continent but can't get across some water to save their lives. Also, I think that was the shortest Russian Civil War ever, just around two-three months, man the Soviets got a butt kicking. Anyway, that is it, and goodbye, and thanks for reading.

"Before us lies Germany's Glory, Within us Germany is stirring, Behind us, all Germany is following to victory!!" -Sgt. Adolf Hitler during the Battle of Paris in 1919

Untitled 1.png

The book called 'Mein Kampf' instantly became a bestseller in MittelEuropa and Austria-Hungary, the stories of the soldiers who fought on the front were just beyond thrilling and exciting. The most prominent story being that of Adolf Hitler, a man who sacrificed everything for his Kaiser, unfortunately being killed by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War.
Damascus, Ottoman Empire, August 1920

----------------------------------------------
Mein Kampf
Chapter XV: All Loud on the Turkish Front
Soldat Reto Kuntz
476. Infanterie-Divison 'Konstantinopel'
Asien-Korps

There I stood, dry, dehydrated, smelly, and once again in a Trench. I had been stationed down in the Ottoman Empire ever since Somme, the first month of that horrid battle I had been shot in the arm by an Englishman, I spent a year in Kassel recovering. The Generalstab however had no need for me to return to the silence of the Western Front, no, instead they elected for me to be sent into the Middle East to fight in the empire of the Turks and to stave off the invading British. For four years I spent fighting in Syria and Iraq, and time and time again we were pushed back. It was game of back and forth, one day we capture a British Trench, the next day Gurkhas run the whole army group back to Ankara. Times were tough, but the Turks got it the worst, imagine losing that much territory...it's good they got it back. But as to real story, here it is.

August 11th, 1920. I and my Division were re stationed in Damascus after the Turkish Army had retaken it from British Army who were too busy rearranging themselves. We'd been here over a month and still no assaults, just the usual few shots fired from Trenches, then everyone wen't back to their day. It was year after the French surrendered but Italy was still holding on because of the British, but now that Rome was on the verge of falling to Austro-Hungarian Arms, their holdings in the Middle East were ripe for taking. And this is what happened, the 'mighty' British Empire was pushed out of Mesopotamia and back to more dependable lines, the Ottomans put down the Arabian Revolt, and All Was Quiet on the Turkish Front.
I woke up from my provisional bed on the morning of August 12th in the Damascus Trench. I quickly put on my uniform and Stahlhelm, grabbed my Gewehr, and headed to the front lines. As I was walking up my way to a dugout in the Damascus Trench, I heard an artillery shell crash into the grown behind me. I turned around and rushed to the front of the trench, and it did not look good.

Old-City_2808111b.jpg

Turkish Soldiers being held prisoner by an Australian Regiment during the Liberation of Syria from the British, or Unternehmen Sidon, 1919-1920

"Attack!" Siegmund, our commanding officer, yelled at the top of his lungs
"How many!?" A soldier asked
"Blast it all, it's a whole army! Men, ready your rifles and pick a place to fire, the British Are Coming." Siegmund ordered while reloading his pistol. Immediately, men of the Asien-Korps rushed to our positions and Ottoman Soldiers did the same, the Battle of the Damascus Line was beginning.

I picked a bunker and aimed my rifle at the incoming British Army, they outnumbered 2-1, including the Turks, and reinforcements weren't due until the next week. If we didn't hold the line, Damascus would fall, and troops from Italy would have been to sent to aid us, thus weakening the war effort in the Italian Peninsula. This was it, we had to fight to death, it was at once our duty our Kaisers. 'Once More Unto the Breach' I thought to myself, and then there no silence anymore. British Tanks crossed No Mans Land and unloaded near our Trench, Artillery continued to hammer down upon us, and sharpshooters started to pick us off one by one. The British jumped bayonet first into our Trench, I turned around only to be knocked in the face by a fist of an Irishman. I fell onto the floor and it looked like I was going to do, the Irishman got ready to stab me but was knocked over by a larger hand-to-hand fight between Turkish and British Soldiers devoid of their guns. I was still reeling from the pain I had been dealt, but nevertheless I got up picked up the Irishman by his shoulders.

"Hands off Kraut! I'll scamp ya for that!" He yelled to me struggling free
"Do your worst." I replied, charging at him right after.

I tackled him into a wall of sandbags, he tried to counterattack but he had no will to fight, especially for an empire oppressing his people, he went unconscious from the pain. I kind of felt bad for the young lad, so I made sure he wouldn't be killed by hiding him behind a few barrels of water. I turned around only to see that the rest of the Damascus Trench had been defended well, the British were high tailing it out and I only saw few dead German and Turkish Bodies. War may be hell but it never ceases to amaze me. By the end of the day, the battles all along the line were won, and the British were in full retreat once again. A glorious day to remember for the German Reich and it's most faithful ally, the Ottoman Empire. May our sacrifice never be forgotten.

End of Chapter III: Der Osten in Brand (Part III)
Okay, I'll be the first to admit this wasn't the best, maybe because there was nothing funny, or maybe because of the lack of combat, but I think that this could pass off for a story in the Weltkrieg, hopefully anyway. The Next Chapter hasn't been played nor written, considering how things are, I am 99 percent sure America will explode and so will Siberia. Oh and I'll make sure the USA doesn't got to war with Mexico because if Mexico wins for some reason they will declare war on the AUS, and it's annoying seeing the entire south becoming apart of Mexico. Same with California and the rest of the PSA. That's it, see you all later!

Just be sure to avoid staying too long, this giving rise to ISIS. Although I can't have been the only one to notice that Turkestan is basically ISIS.
Yeah that whole Bukharan Caliphate thing and the invasion of Persia, Don-Kuban, Alash Orda, and sometimes Delhi and Afghanistan, they definitely remind of the nutjobs in Syria right now.

That dissent from declaring war on the Arab Axis will definetely hurt...
Oh it did, my dissent was at 42 for a little while, now (January 1938) it's at 28 thankfully.

Good group of updates.:)

Chapter IV: Krise auf allen Kontinenten

"Just as Australia was Born on the Shores of Gallipoli, Germany was Born on the Shores of Alexandria." -Lt. General Mackay, Australasia Expeditionary Force

54acaa1732b9c.jpg

The Alexandria Landing was the first time the Afrika Korps ever fought in a war and the Egyptians were no match for their battle prowess.

Coast of Egypt, July 1937

----------------------------------------------
Max Thälmann, recruited in his home in Hesse to fight in the Afrika Korps, had no idea what war looked like. He only knew three things, it was hell, it was something not to be proud of, and that your life could end in an instant. As the landing crafts drew closer to the shores of Egypt, followed by shore bombardments by the destroyers, Max couldn't help thinking how this war would turn out. Suez fell to Egyptian Arms when the war started but the Arabian Peninsula was secured, the Ottomans had proved their worth and it was now their turn. He guessed he shouldn't feel too bad, if he died at least he would died for his emperor and country, besides, fighting wars was something Hessens always needed to do. The pieces were place now, the fleet was ready, the men were ready, Max was ready.

Untitled 28.png
Untitled 27.png

MittelEuropa Divisions that participated in the Alexandria Landings, or Unternehmen Cleopatra.
In Max's landing craft, filled with him and thirty-five other soldiers from the Reich, he gripped his Kar as the signal was set, the landing was a go. Max looked forward determined and ready for war, whatever it brought. The doors opened and the Afrika Korps set foot on the African Continent, ducking down into cover while being attacked by the Egyptian Menace. Max stuck his head out once our twice, firing off a shot or two before being put under enemy fire.

"Hey! Soldat, you see that passage to your right?" a Obergefreiter yelled from cover to his left
"Yes sir!" Max replied
"Get in there, I'll send three other men with you, find a way to sabotage the enemy!" the Obergefreiter shouted and Max complied, practically diving head first over to the cave-like structure while trying not to get shot.

Max waited there, watching comrade after comrade fall to the ground dead, resisting the urge to cry or to go out there and die with them, his fellow soldiers of course. Max turned around when he heard footsteps, he readied himself for anything, but it turned out to be some of the Reich's newest allies, Australasians. Ever since revolution in the former British Colony, the Australasian Confederation aligned itself with Germany, mostly because of the mutual fear of Japan and because Canada had no interest in protecting Australasia should she be attacked. King Edward VIII was too busy fantasizing about returning to London, or reuniting the Crown Jewel of the what remained of the British Empire, India. Hughes immediately accepted the Kaiser's proposition of an alliance, and so here they were, fighting once again on the shores of a country. Except this time, the Turks were their allies and the Egyptians were their enemies, the Old Entente really has died.

It was crazy to think that just one year ago these men probably had negative views of MittelEuropa, or not, regardless they were somewhat enemies. Now, the Australasians were fully independent from the Entente, they even tossed away old Canadian Weaponry and Desert-Tropical Uniforms, replaced with superior ones made by in Germany. It was very surprising to see an Australasian Marine in nearly identical equipment to those of men in the Kaiserliche Marine Branch, minus the German Flags and such. But alas, that was just how it was now, and everyone needed to get used to it, especially the Madmen in Ottawa.

The Australasians that came to Max's side were numbered four, and looked eager for something they shouldn't be, war. Just as Max was about to say something to them, three men of the Afrika-Korps came running to Max, none being shot and killed.

"Are you Thälmann!?" One of his comrades asked
"Yes, you are!?" Max responded loudly over the sound of bullets
"I'm Ernst, the other two are Burkhard and Körbl!" Ernst answered
"Alright then, Ernst, take your men and head into this passage, no enemy fire has come from it and it may lead behind the lines, yell if you see anything, kill if you must." Thälmann ordered and they nodded, going in bayonets first.
"Uh, can you speak English?" An Australasian asked Max
"What are you four doing here!?" Max said in English, or at least he tried
"We were sent by a German to help you find a way behind enemy lines, I assume we're going in that cave thingy over there!?" The Australasian replied
"What are your names?" Max questioned
"Mine is Alfred, my friend over there is Benedict, and those other two are Clark and Jerome!" Alfred answer
"J? What is that sound?" Max demanded
"Isn't there a sound like that in German? No? Crikey, how do you say a J in German?" Alfred asked
"That isn't important, but it's sorta of like a 'you' or 'u' sound, right now is not the time nor place to be discussing this though!" Max said
"Well, you learn something everyday, now I think we should get going. Come on boys!" Alfred yelled before charging into the cave, a very uncomfortable sight.

Untitled.png

The Afrika-Korps proved the deciding factor in the German-Egyptian War, they certainly were the most elite in the Kaiserliche Armee.
The Passage lead down into a small ancient Egyptian burial, filled with dead bodies of the ancient Egyptians. The sight was magnificent and scary at the same time, if that was even possible. Max when walking through almost screamed his lungs out when a dead skeleton fell onto the ground in front of him, he didn't sign on to fight skeletons in some crypt. Eventually, Max caught up with the rest of his comrades at the exit, and boy oh boy did it have results. Before the eight of them laid the battle that was being fought to win the war, but that wasn't what the soldiers were staring at. Max Thälmann had found a Egyptian Secret Weapon, a huge artillery gun, and it was getting ready to fire. The Egyptian Army was merely holding off the Afrika-Korps so that their secret weapon could fire, they didn't have the men to really sustain the losses they were accumulating.

"Blimey...what on God's Green Earth is that!?" Alfred said
surprised
"That my friend from down under is a an artillery gun, a very, very, very big artillery gun." Körbl answered
"We have to report this in, let's get going." Ernst signaled
"No, if we do that then the gun will fire before we have a time to react at all, we need to destroy it or take down it's operators now." Max warned
"Where the heck did the Egyptians get something like that anyway?" Ernst asked
"Call me crazy, but I think they got it from Canada." Benedict stated
"Why would Canada do that to us?" Max questioned
"Pay back, I don't know why else. Also I remember hearing about 'we must learn from Verdun and Liege' or something, back when you guys used bigger artillery." Benedict responded
"Well we'll make sure the Kaiser hears about this. But first, we must by all costs, neutralize the artillery gun. Any ideas?" Max asked
"How about we just sneak in, kill some Egyptians, and throw a few well placed grenades, or whatever these things are." Alfred said while looking at the Australasian Variant of the Stielhandgrante.
"Not really a plan but it's the best thing we got, move out, für Kaiser und Reich! For Emperor and Empire!" Max concluded, and the eight soldiers went on to the gun.

With their uniforms somewhat blending in to the Egyptian Desert, Max and his fellow brothers-in-arms went unseen until they got to the railroad and the Schwerer Gustav. The eight set up a small attacking position from up above a hill next to the railroad where the gun was headed. If it was allowed to fire, the whole operation would be a bust, and the war would be a bust for the German Empire. This could not happen, by any means. All eight readied their Kars for battle, and when the Schwerer Gustav finally was in position, they opened fire on the men protecting it. The Egyptian Soldiers were quickly routed, some trying to flee but unfortunately shot by their comrades for treason. Only the Muslim Militiamen stayed and fought to the death, but when they too fell to German and Australasian Arms, the Schwerer Gustav was ripe for the taking.

Max lead everyone down to the gun except Ernst who decided to stay behind in case any hostiles came. Max gripped his Kar93 tightly, finger on the trigger he busted down the doors leading into the inside of the Schwerer Gustav. There was no one still left alive, blood everywhere. Max and his allies looked everywhere for a weak spot, or something that could destroy the gun. But before that could happen, Max had a brilliant idea hatch.

"Wait! Instead of destroying this thing like barbarians, how about we use it to our advantage, ja?" Max proposed
"That's fair and all, but how do we fire this thing." Körbl asked
"Good question, does anyone know how to fire artillery?" Max asked
"I do, I practiced using artillery in Bulgaria back in 1931 and I'm an engineer, I think I know how to fire this thing, just get me to the controls." Burkhard revealed
"Alright then, men, secure the area, we're about to save the day." Max said before they left the smelly inside of the Schwerer Gustav.

The group steadily walked up stairs to where a control panel of sorts laid in the middle, waiting for someone to use it. When Burkhard got hard at work, he discovered that the shells were already loaded, and that all that was needed was the positing of the gun. After a few twists and turns, the gun was finally in the right spot, kaboom was the next step. Max gave the signal, and the gun was fired, after Ernst came down to the railroad of course. The first shot was loud, it practically killed Max's eardrums, but it also killed the noise the battle was making. It seemed as if everyone stopped firing at each other to look at the most powerful shells on the planet raining down on the Egyptians and their fortifications. And then KABOOM! The Egyptians didn't know what hit them. Well, the did, but they didn't expect it. Burkhard fired more shells across the Egyptian defenses and key strategic defending spots, it was slaughter. The Egyptian Army then began to retreat, and Max decided the moment was perfect. He grabbed his folded Imperial German War Flag and Hessen Flag, and with the help of Ernst, he raised those two flags over the Schwerer Gustav. Alfred gave his Australasian Flag to Max and he raised it as well, just in time as the Afrika-Korps and the Australasian Expeditionary Force came racing over the Egyptian lines.

The day had been won...

Chapter IV: Krise auf allen Kontinenten
I'm so glad this part is finished, no more writing, but then again I'm a little sad, I think this was the best piece of work I've written for this AAR, reminds me of the Burning of Ottawa, good times, good times haha! (not really). Ah, this is why I listen to music when writing these, and not just any kind of music but national anthems and battle anthems and stuffs, because it fills you with a passion to just make something great, in this case it the glorious Battle Hymn of the Republic, but that's getting a little off topic. The next two parts will be written and released tomorrow and or Sunday, I just needed to get this out because it was to good to just let it go to waste. Also, I will be picking the next AAR Writer of the Week, if you want to see who I pick then go to the Weekly AAR post-thingy. I think the person who I pick will appreciate it, I was quite surprised when I found out they never received one, but that is once again getting off topic. Bye people, and get ready for the rest of the fourth chapter!

Reactions:
"Where the heck did the Egyptians get something like that anyway?" Ernst asked
"Call me crazy, but I think they got it from Canada." Benedict stated
"Why would Canada do that to us?" Max questioned

Ohoho!
The plot thickens!

Max Thälmann

Wait a second....never mind, he's too young, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of some relation.
With that said, the young soldat deserves his kudos for going above and beyond the call for Thron and Reich, any possible relations to red degenerates not withstanding!
