Harold surrendered in 1071, the Norwigeans a couple of years later. Had some minor Saxon civil-wars that was put down and the leaders went to jail. Beheaded the leader and ransomed the others.
The French King loves me and made me Marshal and Regent when he was a kid. Later on when my wife died, I married his sister and he married my daughter, so I covered my ass there.
Now I'm just waiting for all the English holdings to come on-line and make me some money and soldiers!
