H1 (Q1+Q2) 2020 ACAs

After a lengthy hiatus, the ACAs are back, this time under the supervision of me, your friendly AAR fan Nikolai. Last time the ACAs were held were Q2 2019, and here we are - one whole year later. As such, we will consider 2019 closed, and 2020 opened.

This time around you can vote for any AAR that had an update between January 1st 2020 and June 30th 2020 (inclusive). In other words, this ACA will cover H1 2020/Q1+Q2 2020.

Voting will start now and end in six weeks, at 20.00 CEST Sunday August 2nd.

You may nominate up to four AARs for each of the following games:

Europa Universalis IV
Crusader Kings II
Victoria II
Hearts of Iron IV
Stellaris
Imperator: Rome

and up to four additional games in the "Other" category, which includes all other Paradox Development Studio games not mentioned above. Kindly use the following format:

If an URL has already been posted once, there is no need to put it up again.

To be entirely honest, this has been quite a disappointing demi-year for AARs, I personally have not had much time to read them so I really just cast away any AARs that weren't amazing by the first chapters, only one really stood out and kept me reading, and hence it will be the only one I am to vote for.

Mad orc's style of writing is unique in that he really resonates his incredible knowledge on some of the most niche topics. JotS is exemplary in this.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I am not saying all the other AARs were bad, I am just saying that none of them stood out to me personally

Hey, thanks for mentioning me! Though I'm not sure mine should qualify as an AAR, since it's really more just a fanfiction idea I had from, at one point, seeing an XT-489 Machine FE.

I think you're right about No Love, No Comfort being a fanfiction rather than an AAR. But I've never seen a fanfiction disqualified/removed from the ACA's before. All of my Stellaris Stories are fanfictions, not AARs; and each of them has received one or two ACA votes in the past with no issues.

Of course, I've only been on these forums for a couple of years, so I'm not an authority on the subject by any measure. If someone like @Nikolai or a Mod rules against me, I can change my ballot quickly enough. Otherwise, I'd like to give No Love, No Comfort the recognition I believe it has earned.

As a former ACA organiser, my instinct would be that everything in AARland is fair game, no discrimination. Someone With more authority in this situation may think differently, but my hunch would be not.
