But wouldn't that be violating the code of MIA Company?

(Btw I'm actually banned from using computers or watching TV or talking on the phone, because I'm on the internet so much. If that isn't definite MIA material, I don't know what is! :D)

First of all, nice writing so far...

Fade, your mates' analysis was excellent.....especially my character....I like to keep him as mysterious as possible:)

If it's ok with all of you, I shall also create the PDF version of this story, and offer it in monthly shots at the BaaR:)

hmmm....let's write

No probs Hawkeye.

If possible Id like to do the AAR in campaigns so that we have a groups of relevant missions grouped together, perhaps as well as doing the monthly ones, a campaign one as well? Or just the campaign one. Ill let you decide!

Thanks for doing this. It will be great to read this Free Company Book style!

EDIT: Wrong post icon.

Youve reached my voice message.

Captain Coats is on a mission at the moment, but if you leave your name, number and short message, he get back to you!

<Beep> :D

You enrol here. But you will need to provide a reason why you should be accepted. Explain your credentials.

Look at the requirements posted in the first couple of posts in this thread. The recruiting clerk will get back to you in due course.;)

Oh and what platoon are you fit for?

ok....

we should also communicate more through the PM system and know exactly for what things we should prepare ourselves....and also try to get our characters as different as possible....

This AAR will provide the real Free Company series for the HoI forum....yepee!

I believe that the "men";) already are using PM.

I will also give details on what the next post will be so as you are aware of what will take place.

Ive already done it up a couple of posts.

To add some more:

We parachute.
Some of you (2) will be on your own and will need to make you way to point 1 on the map.
The others will right on the dropzone.

I will then describe how the men move waypoint 1. And how the stranglers make their way to wp1.

Then something will happen......

<Guys think about your position in the formation, V(wedge) formation, column, line, ambush position (L to the left or L to the right), i.e.

X GER
X
2C
X
X
XXXX is ambush to right (of the officer)

XXXX
X
2C
X
X GER is ambush to the left (of the officer) etc.

Also, think about how you move through the various terrain, crouch, prone, standing, at a run, walking, sneak. Also how you carry your weapon.

Our marching position (for a column formation would be something like this:

Fade - point man

Blitzkreig - German talker for bluffs
iBaLkid - MG gunner
2Coats - Officer
jkkelley
Alex
Morpheus506
Exterous
Pinkus Pils
Jech
Ladybug - Sniper bring up the rear

Fade will obiously be the man who gives the first hand signal. Then jkkelley and and Exterous will be the ones that pass the hand signals down the line for the rest of the squad.

Any comments?

My reason to join club:

Today I went to sleep at 5 am and got up for work at 7 am. I was playing new HoI game 11 hours in a row and it's like that since a week, when I returned to HoI after CORE 0.6 was relased. But that's nothing. Worse thing is that tomorrow I'm supposed to finish my (hmmm, dunno the word) graduate essay (?) and give it to my tutor. Till last week I managed to write 110 pages, but I still need about 20. And I didn't write a word since I started to play HoI again
The worst is I should have graduated 2 years ago already! First was EU, then EU2, now HoI... I should probably sue Paradox for ruining my 5 years of hard law studies.

Sir!

I have a wife, a baby on the way and a new house that needs attending to – but I seem to make excuses why I am too busy to be attentive to each of those needs. I’ve got to stay late at work…my back hurts…I’ve got to free Europe from tyrannical oppression…

But the worst is the trembling, the constant sweats and the mood swings from being away from what my wife terms as my “replacement for the bottle.”

At work, I leave the forums up for almost the whole day, peering every so often to keep an eye on changes, downloads…malcontents. Nobody speaks ill of my HOI, NOBODY!

If you allow me to enlist, I will take on the most grueling tasks, the most arduous assignments without falter or fail.

I am but a soldier.

Sir!

Hmm, that would be a good project for your law study. :p :D Unfortunately, you'll lose the case since the judge is also a fan of HoI. :D

We live in military barrack the year 1939! There wouldn't be television set there anyway. Just a transistor radio playing Marlene Dietrich and so on. Perhaps we could get a day off after four years time or so and go and enjoy "Casablanca" or Charlie Chaplin on the silver screen.

Detriot Rock - Chjeck the first post of this thread. Your service number is there and so is the company sig that you can add to yours by cutting and pasting.

:( Im afraid that youve missed this particular mission but feel free to pass comment here and volunteer for the next one. One of many I hope.......

Welcome to the outfit!

Hey Detroit Rock, I'm from Rockford. What part of GR you from?

Anyway, I'm thinking wedge or line formation, walking to the edge of the tree line then crouching/crawling

Wyoming, near Burlingame. A lot of rain today, huh? I'll be on the next mission...

Edit: Sorry about interupting the mission...won't happen again.

Umm, just a tiny question, why have you written the Kar98 out as a Kar38? AFAIK the first new rifle model in the German army after the Kar98 was the Gewehr 41. In fact, the Gewehr 98 was the standard rifle before the war while the Kar98 was only dispensed to elite (SS) troops.

Just a tiny nitpick... :p

Otherwise, great start to the AAR, the evaluations of eachothers caracthers were nice.
