Really? I thought the whole thing was a massive disappointment. I was expecting some nice, perhaps only accurate later in the eu period but whatever, marching tunes and war stuff, not whatever these were. A waste of 2,50€.
I like it.

Was nice for them to do something different by adding some metal versions of normal EU tracks. I just wish I could just listen to them more and block out the original music 
Looked it up on YouTube. When I heard the word "metal" I had a really negative connotation. It's really not that bad, but I'm still not sure I'd want it. Maybe I'll get it if there's ever a sale on these, but otherwise I won't be.
I'm looking forward to the gangster-rap DLC that accompanies the expansion surrounding the opium trade.

I don't like it. But I'm not the target audience, anyways, given that I hate metal. And I'm sure Paradox knew that this would be a limited-appeal venture, and was just doing it to cater to their hard core euro-metal-enjoying fans.
Honestly find Paradox's music composition meh (particularly compared to a game like CIV IV's musical direction), and I always play with outside, authentic cultural/period music in all PDS games.
I have to applaud them on going forward with a passion project like that anyways, even though I don't personally enjoy it.

I had a slower metal song during the preparation of the biggest war for my tiny Brandenburg and after the start of the war, it became fast and hard. It's marvellous!

Does anyone know if these songs add to the game or replace the original ones? since buying it i've heard the metal ones quite a lot and don't seem to be hearing the good old classic music. Will be disappointed if it's replaced the old ones.

for the record you guys, as i've mentioned in other threads...
there is a classical pack with 1.8 called Songs of War
but to find it you literally have to go to steam store home page and search "Songs of war" and it will be second pop up. (it isn't listed with the DLC page for EU4 for some reason.)
I own it and bought it for 2 other people.
It adds only.
It doesn't replace unless some of the new songs are not metal/rock oriented. I bought more than one music pack ^see above post) so if it did replace them all maybe i wouldn't know anyways.
It does hardcode replace the menu themes though. Like when game starts and you get single player and select a country, its a kind of steady rock with sort of gregorian choir girl chant to it.

i don't get people saying it breaks immersion. i'd get that in CKII as you are kind of supposed to play as a certain character, but were the magical omnipotent overlord of a certain country dealing with arbitrary modifiers and abstractions. i don't feel the music is THAT much out of style for it to break immersion.
and if they do, just disable them. sorry if you wasted your money, but it was pretty clear that it wasnt a normal music pack from the store page.

Absolutely horrific music that doesn't fit with a strategy game set between the years 1444 - 18whatever. During the first time loading up the game with this music DLC enabled, I literally took my headphones off when I heard it start to play, immediately exited the game when it had finished loading and disabled the DLC.
