Is it just me or has Gujarrats starting religion been changed? I'm sure they've always been Shia being the only ones with Bahmanis in the East but are currently Sunni which is abit meh in terms of variation vs mostly Sunni region.

Damn that was ages ago and I love playing India so no idea why it stuck in my head. Never bothered playing till decided would be a potentially a different war to form Rajputanna with the solid trade, an early level 3 COT and probably an easy early war either for Mewar gold or Sindh COT
Is rajputana worth it?
Paradox should issue badges for people who played back when tabarstan and evenki existed
Probably the most militant ideas in India alongside Mysore so if you want one of those playthroughs its fun and forming swaps you to Mewar missions so gets more modifiers. Obviously Gujarats trade ideas are decent but swapping to something else isnt the worst idea. Also sexy flag and colour.
Rajputana is worth it for the map color. The ideas are nice too.

Ah ok turns out they have events that flip them to Shia during gameplay o although they start Sunni they have the option and I'd guess the ai is weight'd more towards one vs the other. So flicking around and seeing them as Shia post 2017 is a thing
And maybe another one for those of us who were around for the nation of "Swahili" as a tag in EU 4
.Mongolia used to be "Mongol Khanate" too, which is why their TAG isn't what you'd expect.
