As long as there are claims, I don't care how you do them :). Anyway, what work remains to be done on Beta1?

I am going through the OOB's for every country, some twenty or so now left on this pass through.

Flags, some graphics etc.

Then some events...

A little file housecleaning.

That should be it.
:D

Once you conquer a country it gives back more and more as time passes...

So, about 3 days worth of work would you say?

In pure time like say 30 hours of work?
:D

Could be, am making great progress but I have business to attend to, each and every day as well.

And then there is that pesty requirement of sleep, eating, and especially playing with the dog. Things like that.
:D

I'm going to say at least a week, probably two then as the ETA, right?

You know you would make a swell business manager!!

I would make a firm bet of LESS THAN ONE WEEK!!!!

:D

Especially since I have of late sworn off posting in all other Paradox forums except this one sub-forum.

And have largely finished and tested the AI's as complete and beautiful runnin machines of WAR!!!
;)

I just made some hot coffee, I will put my head-phones on and go back to work on the AI computer where I cook up goods. (It is a 4 quad processer with 3 large monitors)

Thanks very, very much GeneralHannibal for your undying support and conversations. I swear to pass the first copy on to you. Maybe I'll name a Battleship after you? :D

And I have named a battleship after you!! And gave it one notch up to model 1 making it the world's most modern sleek battleship!!

:D

Can you possibly guess which country has this most famous battleship the 'GeneralHannibal'?
;)

Oh and you only get 'one' guess.

Most certainly the RoA :D. That or New Carthage...

Hmmm, the decision is killing me, as I came up with the name for New Carthage IIRC but the RoA is like my patron nation. But I'll go with New Carthage at first.

4 hours of work a day on AI modding is far more than I could do   :eek:o :(. Work quick, so you'll be able to look at other parts of the forum :).

Am I right?

Yep, Republic of America! It's the one and only BB at start, escorted by 3 fine up to date destroyers. A real battlefleet tasked with saving the N. Atlantic from all enemies...

Because we all know the great need for ships that the RoA has?

Also, just a question, but what is in it for the US to support Liberia? Does Liberia send troops to America when it can?

Also, if you have time, could you give us a laydown on the IC of various countries?

Well Republic of America needs a navy to protect against invasions. This a serious threat that often occurs.

I guess I have to ask back, 'what would you want from a puppet behavior wise?' Because all I know about it, is what I have here set up in Guild Imperium.

Such as puppets are a great source of land divisions of all kinds that they build, air and some sea as they are generally small. So war queing puts navies near bottom que for them pretty quick. And this help comes early in game when often critical, they are also second 'supply' source and maybe ones best trade partner.

I tried to get them to 'calm' down a bit, but since their puppet masters have military control, I suspect their 'front AI' is suspended in favor of the puppet master which is set very aggressive. So you do see these pesty puppets, doing invasions and some para drops (coordinated) with those sea invasions. They operate second fronts quite nicely and when attacked 'hold their own' until re-enforced. If side by side they hold their end of the line.

Puppets can draw you into wars. This can sometimes be a big drawback. But, hey we need a little balance here.
:D

So basically, you help them and they help you when they can? Sounds fine to me, although I wouldn't want them stealing my land :D

Province control generally goes to the puppet_master when contiguous or even if any of your division are involved. So if a puppet by invasion opens up a new front just add in a division or two and push it forward. I think that works, but I am only guessing.

As to the issue of gaining cores from event or by conquest (then event). I think now watching a hands-off game that I have playing since last night that it should be done very sparingly.

Done, but also with other things I already have in mind to balance the growth of power.

This test game is August 1934 as I type running full on. India is the clear leader having swallowed up Imperial China and now working on the center whole of the Mongolian Empire. She is terror to behold, second is the Ottoman Empire, next the Austrian Empire and the CSA and then Republic of America.

Imperial France and every one of her puppets are gone, same with Scotland and her puppets, same with Imperial Russia and her puppet... etc, etc

Yikes!

I thought Russia of all nations would survive a fair amount?

What of Germany?

Can you show screenies?

Also, I'm thinking my new patron nation should be the Sioux Nation, as they look like they need help. How much IC do they have? Perhaps my Guild Imperiem AAR should be with them, although I am leaning towards France.

Which country has the most IC?

Well by 1934-35 half must fall...
Each game a differing half.

There are some interesting things about that game, but need to go to work outside, so will look at it later.

Imperial Germany has the largest IC, Imperial Russia next largest and both have fallen. :D

Imperial France has the most if you count up all her puppets.

Do minor powers ever become big?

Also, do puppets ever rebel?

GeneralHannibal said:

Nope and nope.

Need events for them to rebel.

As a long as they are puppets, the territory mostly acrues to puppet_master.

Do minor or "weak" non-puppets ever become big, like the Sioux?

Once a long, long very long time ago, maybe even ever long ages ago...

Nope.

Behold! So true and very true, the Great Sioux Nation needs a leader like you!!!

To take them to the great heights, south, east and west they must go a'conquering...
;)
