Just a though, but could airpower be toned down a bit in the beginning?

Or made so countries have a bit more AA at the beginning?

One thing I've found that can stave off airforces for at least a little while as a 'minor' or even an imperial is to put all your escorts and strats/naval in one AF and then use that for air-sup (yes it sounds stupid) that way you can at least beat them off sometimes and I can't use strat bombing as well as the AI.

Also for bigger ic countries (over 100) immediately start building three IST. All countries start off with 4 transports and IST are the key force to use to take out airbases as ROA facing the French juggernaut taking out the airbases with CAS has saved my bacon more than once and two IST's can take out one garrison in most cases.

In most places except Africa right now the wars are set to start later, I could edge it out yet another month?

Well, I'll await the new version before making it more. And I imagine that making AA guns will help things a lot, no?

Have you read my poetry in the Guild Imperium Change-log thread?

Been working in the yard getting ready for the 'rainy' season coming soon. So needed finally get some 'french drains' as we call them repaired and some new ones put in. Etc, nice weather.

But as well, go look at my update, that is what I am working on and it is going very well indeed.

Oh and therev I checked that event chain for Imperial rebellions and it is Austrian not Australia. I have not built Australia yet.

Just a little tidbit, as the balance of power worldwide is affected by Guild Fascist rebellions in Europe but not elsewhere.

French Quebec and French Louisana have both fallen. Republic of America just landed in France, so has Confederate States of America. It is June 20th 1931. Imperial France is no pushover either she is at strength. But RoA has 65 air units on the beach-head.

Unrelated to Europe Texas has almost conquered Imperial Mexico. And Japan after polishing off the Philippines has taken most of California from the Republic of Oregon who is fighting the Sioux.

Several other turns and twists. Surely getting more interesting with each layer adding in.

Is it possible for Imperial nations to turn fascist, and then not receive rebellions?

Of course, this would lead to the surrounding Imperial Nations ganging up on them...



Oh, and also Yukala, the game can be fairly unstable at times, CDTing at random times in the game, or when you quit. Do you have any solutions to that?

Closing down the game can CTD on out. This is happens more in nofog or with showid on, I have found. But I do not consider it much of a problem. I think it has mostly to do with so much going on, thousands of units whirling about.

The other CTD around countries annexing I have tracked down via studying the saved games near and around that time.

When a country is about to go out or has no provinces left and is being eaten by more than one country, which is common, there is a flurry of desperate AI to AI negotiations that get triggered as the fallen AI attempts to make any kind of peace just so it can survive.

Sometimes these seem to occur same day or hour and get assigned the same default number (which I think was 4712 plus another) that one may be alliance but these assignments same time, can get the same number and that confuses the save out. So CTD.

Nothing I can do with it though.

That makes sense - and is going to occur when we are talking a furious no-holds barred slugfest such as your Yukala. I found that if I don't do anything for the next hour or so I am alright. I guess the AI just needs all its resources to reset itself.

PS just another thought - maybe worth putting your explanation in the readme. Why should you have to engage with angry players about something you can do little about?

I know to have control of minimum provices, but what of a country that starts completely inside its borders, instead of being those provinces being conquered? A country yet to exist?

Any insights?

You must own the minimum provs, and they can't be cores. That's all that I know...

Ah, that is it, they can not be the host's or liberator's cores?

I mean I removed Iberian Empire's core on the only revolt province of Imperial Portugal and that option is still muted out?
