Hello there,

Just wondering if Hearts of Iron 4 will have an option to change the UI/font scaling in game for folks playing at 1440p monitor or higher?

Hearts of iron 3 UI and fonts were rather small and difficult on the eyes especially during long play session, and I understand that it wasn't implemented at the time because 1440p or 4k resolution were very rare or non existent but 1440p resolution is a very common resolution now and would love to see the UI scaling option available in the soon to be available Paradox games like Hearts of iron 4.

Well, in HoI III's defense. It wasnt even 16:9 but rather 4:3 if i recall correctly. Back then 1080p 16:9 monitors werent really that common as far as i know. As for HoI IV it will probably be similar to EUIV and Stellaris, so probably not without mods. For Stellaris you can change the UI Scale in a settings file tho.

Yeah I messed around with it, it kinda worked but I would still get some visual bugs here and there, for example the ship icons are missing while customizing my ships. I was just hoping that I would not have to switch back to 1080p for this game, it just doesn't look as sharp on my 1440p monitor, just a minor nitpick.

It has been confirmed by Podcat that there will be no UI scaling in HOI IV.

Well, that's unfortunate, thanks for the heads up.
