Guesstimate about release date?

I never got into hoi3 because of eu3, ck2, vicky2 and eu4, and when the time came for hoi3 they announced hoi4. So i figured i might aswell wait for hoi4 then.

Any ideas on when they will release it?

I would guess February. In the last stream, podcat said they're somewhere between alpha and beta...content complete, but not balanced. So I don't think there will be any massive delays.

And you should play HoI3 anyway.

Realistically I can't see it happening. The game would have to be in beta already for it to be able to make that deadline, and AFAIK it isn't - at least everything we've seen is still being marked as alpha material subject to change.

Personally, I say let them take as long as they like. HOI3 was let out far too early and was a disaster-zone for at least the first two years post-release.

Octoberish 2015. The games never launch on time, and this one is pretty much a complete overhaul of the game. The other versions at least were similar in appearance, everything in this version is new. Murphy's law says later is more likely than earlier.

yep, but they need a cash flow, you don't live just out of dlcs

Crusader Kings 2 was announced 2010-08-19 and released one and a half year later in 2012-02-14.
Europa Universalis IV was announced 10-08-2012 and released one year later in 13-08-2013.

HOI IV was announced 2014-01-23, so it should be released somewhere between january to july next year if the above dates represent the earliest/latest possible release.
I think paradox said something about that the time between announcement and release on further games would be less then it had been before so a Q1 release is not unlikely.

I also waited for two games that never came at all.... in regards to cash flow, they've always needed a cash flow why should this time be any different? In regards to games how many actually ever are launched on time? I hope for our sakes it is ASAP.

If you're referring to what I think you are, those weren't Paradox developed games.
