In my opinion this is no longer a skyline. But it's best to wait for someone else to decide whether or not this picture is valid.

The reason I think this isn't a skyline anymore is because of the perspective of the viewer. In this picture the view is from the top which gives information about city layout, street patterns, etc. A perfect skyline doesn't tell a lot about street patterns and layout, it just shows you the buildup of height with skyscrapers. This picture leans more towards the first, where Vaduz (although not a perfect skyline) leans more towards the first.

But as I said, let's wait for someone else to comment.

Karbala Iraq is correct. The two mosques we see are the Imam Hussein Shrine, and the Al Abbas Mosque. Karbala is the fourth most holy city of the Shi'ite branch of Isalm, where Hussen bin Ali, grandson (by Fatima) of Muhammad was set upon by the villainous Umayyad Caliph Yazid I during the battle of Karbala. On the Day of Ashura; the day commemorating the battle, over a million Shia pilgrims flock to the city, sheltered by Blue tents. It seems that this picture was taken on that paticular day Your turn, Rakowozz.

And it is as much a skyline as Vaduz was, Myquandro, even moreso, since it has far more clues within it

Wow, that's amazing. Had no idea it has so much religious significance.

I admit I only recognized it from Project Reality (awesome BF2 mod) :p

Will post a skyline later

Those new rules are definitely interesting - although do we have a complete consensus in here that they should be added? Also, I guess that some things like "high enough resolution" needs to be more clearly defined.

What I had in mind when I suggested this was to prevent small images like the one below in which it is difficult to spot details due to the low resolution.

I agree with @Myquandro that @Nyanako's image does not show a proper skyline whereas the image of the city of Verduz was a skyline.
I think that it very well counts as a skyline picture, despite not showing any sky at all. It's mostly about guessing an more or less interesting urban location.
Your picture of Siena (p130) was not exactly fitting a strict interpretation of the term, either.

As for resolution: If it's narrower than 1000 pixels, it better not be blurred/pixelated. Noticeably larger than a thumbnail, at least.

The two images cannot really be compared. The picture from Nyanako is a zoomed out aerial shot. The image of Siena uses a different camera shot.

That was a good guess. I googled "Slum" and "Hill" and "City" and thats what came up. Okay, this is an easy one; lots of clues in the pic. If its not guessed within three hours, I will be highly surprised.

It was the La Galleria sign that helpen me in the right track. I then searched it on google and found the logo. Reverse image searching that logo got me to Pinterest which had Yerevan in the discription.

When I get home I'll post a new skyline.
