It's the only city I can find that is on an island with enough hills, that has a Mediterranean feeling and is part of the European Union. All other cities I could find where either in a too flat area (United Kingdom), not the right architecture (Caribbean, Scandinavia), not an island or not part of the European Union.
The hints are:
The city is on an island in the European Union
The city is not in the Mediterranean Sea
The city is more populous than Puerto del Rosario
So that leaves us with three more guesses before I reveal unless you guys want to continue with this skyline
Well I think I've been thinking out of the box, but all cities I could find in the Caribbean that are true to the hints aren't like the picture. I have absolutely no idea in which parts of the world one can find islands belonging to the European Union.
I'd really like for someone to solve this skyline so what kind of hint would be helpful? I had not anticipated that it to would be this difficult.
Does it help when I say that the island on which this city is has been renamed a few times since it was settled?
Or does it help that I say that this island is also a province in EU IV ?
After all these hints we finally have a winner!
It is indeed Saint-Denis on Reunion.
Saint-Denis is fairly large for a city on a small island with a population of more than 100.000.
La Reunion used to be called Isle de Bourbon when it was founded. The island uses the Euro as its official currency and is an integral part of France, meaning that the citizens of La Reunion are also European Union citizens.
I am glad that I don't have to post a new skyline and that someone managed to solve this, at last
