We know the Start date is 304 BC (450 AUC). When is the end date going to be though?

It'd be really something to be able to go Rome > CK2 > EU4 > Vic 2(3) > Hoi 4.

There was mention of barbarians taking over your land so maybe we'll see some or all of the barbarian invasions?

I think some website talked about "four centuries" of gameplay. The game starts in 300BC so anything ranging from the end of August's reign to Trajan's death is a possibility in my opinion.

Ultimately, I don't see it going beyond 313 AD if the start date is that early, none of the other games ship with more than 600 years of gameplay.

Christians of course being the ultimate barbarian takeover Rome had to deal with

im guessing maybe 27BC/727AUC?. in the Paradox store description it says "Set in the tumultuous centuries from Alexander’s Successor Empires in the East to the foundation of the Roman Empire" so im taking that as it ending on the coronation of Octavian as the Roman emperor.

EDIT, now that i've thought about it, that would only give around 200 years of gameplay...which would be rather unlikely due to the short amount of time it would give you.

Well, if we look at CK2 (before the new start dates came in through DLC) the play time was about 400 years.
In EU4, the playtime is also around 400 years.

So I think that the playtime for Imperator Rome will be around 400 years as well, so I guess from 304 BCE to around 100 AD.

Is 312 ad a good guess?? its when constantine converted to christian.
I think the most logical would be 410 the sack of rome from goths that ended the western empire, but maybe thats too long for a gameplay perspective

I think the vanilla will end between 30-117 AD, but DLC probably will extend that to anything between 200 and 769 AD(to cover the time period with CK 2 maybe?!).

I really hope DLC extends it all the way to CK2 some day but I know it's a stretch.

Going backwards a bit would be great too.
Could it go back long enough, so we could play as the Hittites? Probably not. :(
