Guard won't escort prisoners to their cells

My guards won't escort my prisoners to their cells even though there are cells available, moreover some don't even get escorted to the holding cell. I have enough guards who are available and that aren't doing any jobs. I also have free cells for prisoners and the areas are for available for the prisoners to move around. Is there any fix to this as my prisoners just eventually die?

In your case, you have 10 deployments for 20 guards. When guards are tired they'll prioritize resting over anything else, so when they're coming off deployment, they go rest then go back to a deployment because deployment/patrols are next highest priorities.

You should either hire more guards or lower the amount of deployments for rooms that aren't being used at the moment.

I can try, I haven't played in a while but was thinking about getting back in. I'd just need to see a save where it's happening to see if it also happens on a vanilla (no mods) game on my own setup, but I haven't kept up with patch notes or latest bugs in a while, so I'm not sure how much help I can be, I will try to help though.
