Großdeutschland events?

Well, I'm New in the Paradox world(in fact I'm only play for a few days in the pc of a friend of mine who is now in Spain), but something I'm remeber was, when you create the Popular Unification of Germany(the Grobdeutchland), you doesn't have another more events instead the flavor or some fixed one(like the Mughals or the Boxer rebellion).

And for that i was wondering if now the team of Vicky II gonna make some events if that scenario happens(like France Outcried the german Unification or russia walk against Polish hansburg lands) and some another flavor ot historical events(like the fate of bismarck and another ones...)

I think ß is the letter you are looking for. (Großdeutschland).

Flavour events are always good, but I think Paradox is going for a more general event design with this one, so there will be fewer historical events set to specific dates, and rather more events that respond to the current game state.

There was a small chance for Austria to be involved in the German unification in Vicky 1, so it should be possible in Vicky 2. (Germany with Austria in Vicky 1 is scary though).

The fact is, there will be decisions and other gameplay mechanics that can be discussed.
Maybe forming Greater Germany will be decision triggered by owning Vienna, which causes a MIL rise in non-Germans? Or a peaceful option that requires certain diplomatic triggers with Austria.

I figure the decision will have triggers like...

All German states have to be democracies (including Austria),
Hungary must exist
Germany must not exist (obviously)


This was the requirement in Victoria I for Prussia to form Großdeutschland, as I recall, so it can be easily put in there as a decision for either Prussia or Austria. Maybe require that a flag (such as, say, _____ dominance of the German states) for either Prussia or Austria to have the decision visible.

That was one way to form Germany. Also, the one where all german states had to be monarchies or constitutional monarchies (and this was the only one in Vicky where Austria might join in), and the Three Hurrahs, and a fourth way I can't remember.

So there might be several decisions. And other states besides Prussia, Like Bavaria etc., will be able to form Germany, I think.

May I suggest a militancy increase from all non-german POP in a country forming Germany? Or really any cultural union type country. When a country so clear defines itself along one cultural group other groups should feel slighted, and scared that their position might compromised somehow. Running with the German example I'm rather sure that the Hungarians in Austria would be seriously worried about being reduced to a very small minority rather than simply being the lesser partner in a united Austria-Hungery.

Well, thanks for the answer(specially you King,who are the game lead programer), and that, yes than Happen in history but one petition was the liberation of the Magyar Land in a Diferent State, because they fell than the Magyar are not etchical german(the chezs are more controlable, the same for the north and south slavs) and was extremly numerous in the 1848(besides, they have their own revolutions)

I think if that event happen like in Vicky vanilla, Ricky and VIP, is that Hungary must exist in any shape and all german states must be 'democratic'(Cons Monarchy or Democracy) Goverment, In fact the Grobdeutchland will be some nice to make and see the effect(because that become automatically a Superpower with a very important sphere of influence of the Italian Hansburg minor, Hungary and maybe Croacia)

I think in V2 it was going to be so that Germany is a union tag of North and South German, not including Hungarians, South Slavs (which have their own union tag of Yugoslavia) etc. So it's pretty safe to say you'd have some separatist unrest from them. How severe, I don't know. Another thing I don't know is whether this unrest will exist or be any less severe in Austria (what national/accepted cultures they'll have).

Maybe in popular unification Austria should be given a choice between forming Germany and releasing Hungary, or refusing and staying as it is. Or if they achieve military dominance within Germany they could form Germany by force and still retain all their extra German posessions.
