I hate it when my character just "dies of natural causes" or any other way that causes him to just disappear without any build up. If I'm supposedly playing as this character, shouldn't there be an event chain that describes how they feel, and what's going on just before their death? I got it in one case where my character was really old and had servants help him bathe, and they murdered him. It described how afraid he was, and how much he regretted his mistakes. That's the only time I've cared about a character dying. I'd really like to see something along those lines happen with ALL main character deaths.

I just had three Kings of Castille in row crowned at the age of 3 due to their highly martial skilled fathers receiving the crushing-blow-on-the-head battle incapable event and not making it long afterwards (long enough ro revoke a bishopric for the younger sibling two times, thankfully).
Would that be something for your flavour? ;P

I hate to make you an example but I have to. Can people, for the love of God stop plugging ck2+? While it adds a lot of bells and whistles in adds nothing in the area of what the OP was talking about.

Another such thing is Great Pox. You can receive it via two different dialogues that given you no choice in the matter, even when your spouse doesn't have it, you have no lover and you have the Chaste trait. Meaning the game imposes a lethal STD on you arbitrarily.

Oh, the first world problems of today...

"Heir dies of 'natural causes' at young age" -- *Rage quits and writes a whiny thread about it on the forum*

I'm not saying it's pathetic, it's not, everyone has a right to create a thread about anything [legal] on this forum, it's just... incredibly whiny and unnecessary as the topic has been up before. :)

Personally I think it's great that some characters die young and not ending up in their 70's & 80's before dropping dead and I don't need an explanation to why either as it's not very relevant, the important thing is that it's dead. It's so dull to play the same character for a long time.

I think you completely missed the point voy. I'm not complaining that my people die, or that they die young. I'm complaining that they die suddenly without telling me how or why.

And I don't see how pointing out a flaw in a game on that game's forum counts as a first world problem. How else will they know what people want in future games/expansions/patches?
