Accoding to you what will be the next addings, updates, expansions ? What do you think?

"More services and buildings, and stuff, and options have been added with After Dark, Snowfall and Natural Disasters, the team has made incredible work to improve the game, but what will be next for you? Educadtion ? Jobs? Industry ? New zones ? More residential buildings ? Events? Budget ? Culture ? Politics ? Services ? Modern buildings ? New themes? More mods ? More transport ? What do you think ?"

I need more transport tools, because the biggest and mainly problem we have while playing is logistical. More hubs for industrial train system, more hubs for metro system, and inter-city busses to bring turists, actually them come to city only by airplanes, rains, ships and cars.

Others tipes of Upgradeable Unique Buildings like Concerts Area would be great too!

I'd like an update that better fleshes out and balances the various tourism factors as well as explain what these numbers actually mean. For example we know of tourism and attractiveness states on unique buildings. We know these numbers have an effect on tourism, we know higher is better but that is about it.

There are also major disparities between how much the various buildings provide and how much they cost. Sea and Sky Tower gives 100 tourism and 15 attractiveness for 320 maintenance. The Modern Art Museum gives 100 tourism and 15 attractiveness for 1,040 maintenance.

It would be really cool if we could make a city with an economy based around tourism.

I really have no idea what the next expansion might be. What else do we need in the game? Yes some things like metro stations with more than one stop; yes better hubs for industry, though there are assets in the workshop for that and of course more (but please not too much more) depth to the game in the form of a more dynamic industrial system, having to handle cim's displeasure at the development of the city and other ideas that have been put forward by those who find the present game insufficiently difficult for their tastes.

I do know from previous posts, that the CEO has wanted ponies in the game since before release (I think she owns a horse farm). It wouldn't surprise me at all if we were to get a dlc ala Match Day but for horses instead with a Kentucky Derby or Churchill Downs racetrack; horse farms and thoroughbred horse raising as an industry. I'm joking of course, but you never know; CEOs (@co_martsu) cannot be thwarted forever.

But what I would really like to see in the game is more animations. I think this is very lacking in the game and the game is sterile because of it. Cims ignore one another; they do not converse or interact with each other at all. I would like to see this change. Families should go out together to shop or a park or whatever and I would like to see cims actually playing or having a picnic in parks and playgrounds instead of just hanging around. Kids who go to the same school from the same neighborhood should walk to school together. Young unmarried adults and teenagers as well should go out on dates together. Cims at the same bus stop should talk to one another. I know squat about coding but if all these separate cims acted as a unit would they not be treated by the game as one agent starting from the same place and going to the same place?

Also animations for all the sports in the game; not just on the fields that the devs develop, but animations that could be added to all the workshop sport assets; tennis players; baseball players; basketball players; football, both American and the rest of the world.

I really think more animations and interaction among cims would make the game far more immersive and enjoyable.

"Mass Transit 2: The Rest of the stuff you wanted"
Multi-platform metro, for sure. X, #, =. Diagonals might be nice too. Allow pedestrian walkways to connect to it underground.
Passenger train stations with 2 and 3 sets of track. (The ones in MT are awesome, but too big to be used all that much.) "Allow intercity trains" buttons for each track.
Small passenger train stations for out in the boonies.
Cargo train stations with 2 sets of track. Maybe 3 if there is demand, but I think 2 would be enough for me. "Allow intercity trains" buttons for each track.
Yield signs.
Control of direction arrows on the road.
Control of direction arrows on the road. (I said it twice because it is important.) ;)
Multiple size buses, with UI for controlling which ones go where. ( https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/bus-system-overhaul.1051800/#post-23449027 )
Maybe throw in a button for regular or biofuel buses on the route panel.

Well, aside from the "Sparkly Unicorn Rainbow Park" (Natural Disasters), there is the "Riding Stable" (After Dark). A horse race track might be cool though. Maybe polo.

I hate sports (watching, don't mind playing though), but I would like to see a "Sports Park mini-DLC". While I would also like to see some more along the lines of "Match Day" / "Stadiums" for some of these sports (Skydome, with CN Tower, Toronto), I am talking about smaller parks, for in a neighborhood, or next to a school. Add to the few that we have now (Tennis, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Skateboard Park). Baseball, Cricket, American/Canadian Football, (soccer) Football, mini-golf, track and field stuff. Bike Park. I'm sure people could come up with more. I would like to see a few different looking versions of each, not just one, but maybe that is asking too much, I dunno. That would be much less needed if there are many sports parks to choose from. It's not exactly sports, but maybe a large amusement park Unique Building, sort of like "Magicka Theme Park", but without the Magicka theme. Could change it to "Sports Park and Other Park mini-DLC". Throw in a few more generic (but nice looking) parks.

A "Small Stuff DLC" or "Rural DLC" pack. A small rural fire hall, maybe only one truck (I used one from the workshop way back). Small rural police station. Maybe a Park Ranger station (effectively a small police station, but with different vehicles). Maybe a small rural recycling center with one or two trucks. (These would all also come in handy for the folks that make the train station transfer stations! Though the multi-platform cargo train station above in "MT2" would make that unnecessary.) A small passenger train station (as above in "MT2".) A country store or two.

A "Farm DLC". More farm related stuff. Be able to zone large fields with random crops. Animated combine harvesters and such.

I posted that as a small joke, but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. Not for a full blast dlc but a mini-dlc like Match Day? I could dig it.

I would definitely like real farms! Large fields, and being able to create small villages. Technically you can go small now, but it seems like the game is forcing you to constantly grow.

At some point I read a topic about zoneable parks and beaches and that seems great too. More fleshed out tourism, national parks, more plants (not just trees), natural forests with narrow paths, and definitely low density tourism buildings, not always skyscrapers. I would like low density offices too, and medium density for all zones, so you don’t end up with skyscrapers right next to one-story houses.

Agree.

I had wanted to mention that too, but my wife was grumbling at me to go to bed. :)

The water utility could be a bit more involved. How about adding in water pressure so distance from the pumps and elevation have an impact. It will create a need for larger feeder pipes and would hopefully result in emergent use of ring mains systems. Gravity is also important in sewerage but no one likes to think about that ........

Sports-DLC is a great idea. Way to go for the Olympic games! (yeah, my dreams are big, I know)

More Farm and Forestry Buildings will be nice too.

And what I will really enjoy having - Statues, Sculptures, Fountains and little Monuments to place on plazas, roundabouts. There are some in the workshop, but they are still to few on my opinion. (yeah, I kind of love decorating my city). Perhaps with some castles? And with an amusement park too? That will be interesting.

This is not a DLC idea but what I would like to see in CS in the future :

- Metro hubs
- Trees and other decoration act like real parks
- Filling textures (pavement, for exemple) like in Cities XL
- Bigger footprints for growable buildings (specially for industry and specially specially for farms)(even only 5x5 would be an improvement)
- Tiny train stations, 2 tracks medium train stations (tourisms and fret)
- Zonable pedestrian path
- Choosing directions of each lanes at intersections (forbid left turn for exemple)
- Splitting/merging lanes
- Quays that don't need water (to build sunken roads)
- Gameplay around parking lots (no more pocket car, need to find a place for the car)
- Low density offices (-> we will need more assets)
- Level up for all specialized buildings (-> we will need more assets)
- Choice of density affects specialized buildings (for exemple, no giant hotel for low density commercial area specialized in tourism) (-> we will need more assest :p)

Well, distance to pump and waste water outlets already has an impact. Problem icons tend to show up on the furthest buildings from your water utilities first.

I'm hoping one of the next downloadable content is ‘Cities Skylines: Rural Society’ or ‘Cities Skylines: Countryside’ or something similar which focuses mainly on expansion of the Agricultural and Forestry Specialization Industries and new building themes focused on rural estates. Although, I think the residential specialization would have to be reordered to something similar to the following labels below;
  • Residential Specializations - Urban Housing (Self-Efficient)
  • Residential Specializations - Urban Housing (Normal)
  • Residential Specializations - Rural Housing (Self-Efficient)
  • Residential Specializations - Rural Housing (Normal)
Additions to Agricultural Specialization: Horticulture, Husbandry and Fisheries?
A lot more Landscaping should be added to Agriculture, such as Horticultural, Fisheries, and Husbandry Landscaping. I think the Fisheries might need to be added as some sort of floating service building but also decreases the demand for Employment. But, if they could add Fishing Farms as well, that would be amazing.

Forestry should have more tree types also.

In my dreams it will be an expansion that adds actual seasons to normal cities, and other nature-related stuff like national parks, air pollution, that stuff.

But I am pretty sure that will stay a dream... v_v

I’m dreaming for the following above as well.

I think something to make the city less utopian would be good.

An overhaul of the crime system would be my suggestion, something like 'poorer' areas being more prone to petty stuff whereas the white collar stuff still happens in offices and richer areas.

Riots too.
