Yes, Macedonia is bigger, but only because this follows the expansions of KIng Philip and Alexander. Rome will get that big too once it begins to swallow up allthe tiny territories that surround it. But yeah, the first thing that struck me about the map was how many many territories there are, all independent sovereign states (one presumes). Expansion is NOT going to be fast or easy!Ans some of those countries are bigger than a simple province as well, Macedonia probably have over 6 provinces with how tiny some are in Italy.
lol some people are never satisfied.Should be More.
Its the country there are multiples regions inside Rome in the screenshot in OP.Italy has too big regions, and Rome region seems wrong . There were also other important powers that don't seem to be present , like Volsci and others.
The country density is high in Imperator, at least in this area.

awesomeAbout 60 "provinces" as you'd define them in older games.
Has any of PDS games this amount of provinces in release state?About 60 "provinces" as you'd define them in older games.
I just hope there will be intelligent mechanics to prevent all those small city states from being wiped out in the first 20 years of the game like it is the case in EU4.
Rome controlled pretty much all of Southern Italy 30 years after the start date.
I was thinking more the Greek city states, or Gallic tribes conquering each other.
