Greatest accomplishment with a leader

I am interested to know what all of your greatest accomplishments with a single leader have been.

Mine was with England and their conquistador, Clive. I used him from my bases in India and conquered, Mughals, Hyderabad, and Persia before he died a glorious death storming a Chinese fortress.

probably cortes conquering aztecs, incas and i think iroquois too. it was all very fast, and ya, it was a wc game.

All those Spanish conquistadors at the beginning are awesome...Coronado, Cortes, etc...Only problem is they are only around for a few years so you have to use them while you have them, making planning a little tricky sometimes.

As Portugal, I once got an Random Explorer that lasted for 150 years and longer if I had of played more. He discovered about half of the world and after that he was no use

i'm with c.rex. use the c-series aggressively. even if it means trying to take out aztecs wtih 1000 horse.

Random Conquistadors are practically invincible if you use them for exploring but not fighting...

My greatest accomplishment would probably be with (Dutch Monarch) Frederik-Hendrik Nassau conquering the HRE... He died then, taking on Austria .

One time, I was playing Brandenburg. I was at war with Austria against Hanseatic Ligue. A courageous general, with one(!) soldier, walk through Austrian and Brandenburgians provinces to battle against these Hanseatics. Of course, this courageous general died, but an hero he was. Going to war with one soldier.

Hmm, maybe he was an Austrian Don Quichotte with Sancho Pança (sp?)

Back to the topic.
Babar (first Mughal King/leader, 4/2/4/2 if I well remember) in current game is in 1518 and has annexed Hyderabad, Mysore, Persia, Georgia and Uzbeks, always leading the main army (out of necessity, since the default Mughal commanders have some pathetic 1/0/1/0 stats).
I don't know when is he expected to die (and I won't look in the files, because I like surprises) but maybe he'll be able to do something more if he has time.

I am still unsure as to what to do with explorers, conquistadors and leaders. I understand the role each plays and how they may be used, but I never know how to predict when they will disappear or die.

Does anyone have a strategy that they would like to share?

BTW - this is my 10th post!

the special leaders deaths are roughly historical, so you get a slight edge if you know they died at such and such a time.
random leaders seem to live for about 15 years at least, but in many accounts, much longer, even immortal.

strategy: use 'em or lose them. keeping a conquistador in europe, sheletring an explorer in port, having a long period if peace when you have an exceptional army leader around is just wasting assets. use your strength. explorers and conquistadors especially should be used aggressively as possible.
