HERE'S my GREAT TACTIC
if you got Czechoslovakia place some fast division's there
and you main force just in germany at the border with POLAND
from SNIATYN to NOWY SACR move in to poland
do not go to fast so you will win in a month,just drag poland's army's away from border so you main force can encircel them and you win i week's

Well my tactic against Poland is putting 5 divisions by South-West Poland; 3 Panzer divisions, 1 Motorised division, 1 Infrantry division. I can't remember the province names but its 2-3 provinces north of Slovakia. I also have 1 Infantry division in reserve to stay back and guard the newly conquered Polish territory. The terrain here is all plains, and its like this all the way to Warsaw, so its very good for the fast moving Panzers. Then just break through the Polish defences at the start and the rest should be a clear road to Warsaw and Lodz. Also Krakow is always captured because its very close to the route of my attacking divisions. Use the airforce to help you out. Use interdiction tactics on Polish units to slow them down if you see them approaching the provinces you are movign to.

Every other border province with Poland has only 1 Infantry division or 1 Garrision division to defend off an attack. Except, Danzig has 3-4 divisions because its a VP province. Once you get to Warsaw, Poland will be cut into two parts.

This tactic works very well and Poland will fall very fast.

Drop airbone on all VC's except Warsaw and Danzig. Use massive attack against Warsaw and Danzig. End of fight.

A gamey but effective tactic is to drop airborne into any enemy retreat province. They discover they can't retreat and are eliminated rather than getting in your way when you break through. It's gamey because the AI can't do it, and it relies on ultra-flexible planning; most air drops couldn't be arranged within the necessary timescales in WW2, but the game doesn't model that restriction. It's less gamey if you make your airdrops as part of your offensive plan, but still the air combat model doesn't account for the total air domination that was a prerequisite for airborne operations in WW2.

Yes, that would certainly be it. There is certainly something wrong with the way you're fighting Poland, it's ineffective. Last time I tried to do that it took me 2 weeks, and I believe that if I try now, with my experience from the last battle with Poland I'd smash them in a week.

The trick is to focus your attention on Warszawa and Lwow. Get just those two provinces and they'll surrender. I'm thinking that it'll only take me a few days if I use paratroopers. Drop them in Lwow. Also, drop paratroopers in provinces around Warszawa that have no troops. It should be fairly easy after that.

Just make your panzers run through the provinces and encircle Warzawa after the infantry divisions and paratroopers do their job. Simple as that. It shouldn't take more than two weeks unless a human was playing Poland.

What mockery? I see it more as an homage to the greatest tactic's-ologist of all time - after all, he is the man who first uttered the revered dictum "encircelment is the best way to go!" We all have a lot to learn from him.

Regarding Robie's AAR, he has to relieve the anger he's getting by reading such a fail AAR (assuming he has read it). I mean seriously, the guy isn't even decent... I'd expect someone who plays this game seriously to play without cheats and refrain from writing AARs that are of subpar quality.

Writing AARs in which you cheat isn't very good, especially the ones in which both cheating and bad writing are present.

However, this AAR is quite amusing to say the least. It's brilliant!

Regarding this post, it's good to see that the guy is social and friendly. But, he is ignorant and no matter what we say he still goes on with his ways.
