Why can provinces like danzig pe colonized by most nations? Did you see in any game the WRE collapse? Are you thinking of somehow reducing the manpower? Could you at least put a "default flag" for nations that have no flag/shiled yet (it's hard to see who controls some regions, because there's nothing to select so tooltips or something don't show up)? Will you modify the game to change things like renaming vassal to client state, and other flavour type things?

It's good to see this great MOD is still being updated!

The notion is that Slavic migration/state formation will eventually be implemented via colonization, as there is a dearth of information on peoples in the area prior to that. I should probably implement the negative colonist modifiers for religions that one can find in Arabia Universalis.

Did you see in any game the WRE collapse?

Still a work in progress. There is an event in place to get rid of the WRE but it only fires once it has lost more than half of its starting provinces. I still need to work on Gothic and Vandalic migrations which should then help. (I routinely see the WRE lose Britain, Africa and a chunk of Gaul - based on the aforementioned event condition, the goal would be for the WRE to also lose all of Gaul or most of Iberia to trigger the event.)

Are you thinking of somehow reducing the manpower?

Yes although I'll admit that like population, it hasn't been on the top of my to-do list.

Yes I need to put a priority on graphics for new states - seeing as how most of the states in the game don't have sets.

As far as checking ownership/control, I think you can just float the mouse over the province and a tooltip should pop up (rather than trying to look at it in the province info window)

Will you modify the game to change things like renaming vassal to client state, and other flavour type things?

Oh certainly. If you have more specific examples in mind (such as the client state example), I'll be sure to add them.

It's good to see this great MOD is still being updated!

Thanks!:)

In my games WRE completly loses britain only. Other rebel states show up in Gaul, Spain and Africa but they're almost every time beaten, and eventualy annexed. You may think to give these states some help, as migrations might be affected by the ERE for example. The problem could be that unlike ERE the WRE was declining... so it likely has it's provinces too rich. I can't immagine the vandals, ostrogoths or anybody to beat it. As for those "flavour" changes the only other examples I could think of right now are those "bank loans" and the guns sound. Some changes could also be done in the domestic policies i guess.

A few queries, Do you have the ostrogoths who arrived in italy and illyria in the 400s AD and stayed for 200years?

- Is it not better to make Tirol, Veneto, Schwyz and Bern LADIN or RAETIA culture ?

- Why was Lombardy capital of west rome, ? is it because the Papal can form in Rome?

That's the intention but I haven't put any events in place yet to get them there.

Do you think I should?

You talking about WRE? From what I found, the capital had already been moved to Milan in 286 and would remain so until it was moved to Ravenna.

Great and interesting mod for my favorite time period, but sadly awesome factions like Ostro- and Visigoths, Vandals etc still unplayable

Difficulty there is that I still haven't put together graphics for them (shields for the goths) which means that it would be hard to select them properly in the nations drop down.

Is this mod still WIP?

Have you thought to change the references for tech levels in more appropriate ones for that time span?

And in case, China first, then the rest?

@ Garbon

unsure if this is a help for germanic tribes, but see this map

http://www.rollintl.com/roll/germanics.htm

note
Vindelicia near lagus Venetus ( lake constance) are the old venetic people from the veneto

- Venedae on the baltic sea are the baltic Lithuanians and estonians now

- Sarmatians are west and/or south slavs

- Noricum is taurisci and Norici people ( galiic ) territory - became carinthia ( southern austria)

-Pannonia are illyrians, later mixed with celts

Vindobona is modern Vienna

map is from 420AD I think

I think you should re-upload that, boss. The folder has the wrong title and there's no mod file...
