Cool, I have heard this very same history acted by several monarchs of Europe. Seems it became popular.

I looked several times through this listing and have not found the following generals:
Tanusius Geminus
Gaius Curio
Gaius Rabirius

Caecilius Metellus
Novius Niger
Lucius Vettius
Quintus Curius

-I am sure that their achievements speak for themselves. All were outanding Generals and Politicians in Republican Rome

First candidate - the Spartan king Leonidas. With his 300 men he held the pass at Thermopylae for days against a massive Persian army. Then, once a footpath around the pass had been show to the Persians, what did he do? He stayed there! And, in doing so, bought time for the Greek city states. Yet no-one seems to have mentioned him......

Second candidate - Hannibal. The guy scared the hell out of Rome, and justifiably so. Cannae is considered an archetypal battle for a reason. Heck, for the want of a siege train, he could have taken any city he wanted in Italy, Rome included. Its a bit of a shame he's remebered for bringing elephants across the Alps. Particularly sad considering all but one died on the journey, and that one died during the first battle Hannibal fought in Italy......
