I have an ineteresting idea for dlc or patch. It would be probably easy to apply, and this could really change game experience. Imagine - Intergalactic gate leading to another galaxy - a highly advanced technology - late game, hard to build (expensive and a lot of strategic resources ... possible option cooperace on construction with ally?) or complete the event passed through several missions (find and activate the gate, difficult on completion). Mechanism : There are two galaxies, which would mutually played and developed variously whereas the interaction between them would be only after appearance of the gate. It could happen a lot of interesting options- species in the second galaxy less developed - area for conquering or, conversely, much more evolved - who are conquering the original galaxy and many more Possibilities (war-torn galaxy where player influence changes the status of both the first and the second galaxy, plenty of situations could appear ) ... it could be very interesting... And if for exapmle traveling to antoher galaxy takes more time (f.e. months) players would be forced to build big fleets and send them all together (f.e. with allies) to another galaxy or vice versa alliens from second gallaxy together invading original galaxy with all their fleets. Butt there may be of course pacefull cooperation also.

So late game map size increase plus some scramble for africa in space with the option of actually you beeing the one that gets colonized. Sounds nice so far.

I wish they had a persistent galaxy always online where your own galaxy could gate into but its populated by other players and the gate is one way so they can't get back to your original Empire......

Every now and then the Paradox development team spawn all manner of "cleansers" to try and clean the slate again....

Interesting, but I highly doubt the game could handle 2000 systems in late game. Could work if at the start of the game you could choose to have X number of system spread across Y galaxies, so the current max of 1000 would be for the sum total.

Well once you won the galaxy that you started in, it could present an option to invade another galaxy, ala Prethoryn Swarm. But to optimize it, make a production window of your "home" galaxy where you can build ships. That way you wouldn't have to deal with 2 galaxies, 5000 stars, and 40 something empires and watching your computer melt, but would still be able to take advantage of your previous victory. Then its just a matter of adding to that production window as you conquer galaxy after galaxy. Eventually I would assume the steam roll has no brakes and you become the universal ruler, but would be fun to hurl galaxies at one another.
