1: Why arent the amis helping their french "allies"?

2: I sure hope that you are researching armour the fast as you can, becouse by 1946, level 3 tanks are awfully old. Anyways, sp-art attachments, maybe? I think you have got more oil than you colud need?

3: How could you liberate Oilistan, when the brits occupied Baku?

I can almost imagine Li Jishen telling Western ambassadors something along the lines "nothing to see here, move along, move along..."

The question is, I suppose, about how long to wait. The longer surely means the furhter behind China will slip techwise.

I don't expect the Dragon to wait too long! :D

BTW, are you still (technically) at war due to the Italian situation? Doesn't this status help your economic functioning?

I can't believe that Vichy is conquering France. It looks like India should be a quick and easy battle once you get around to it.

Nice to see Vichy France actually conquering something...
yeah. they got paris!
I can't believe that Vichy is conquering France
I checked quickly, France itself doesn't actually have anything in terms of an army so Vichy is simply advancing

Myth, can you please show your tech levels and what you researching?

and please... it would be helpful to see IC levels of all opponents...

*drools all over his shirt*

please..
Would love to see an economic overview on one of the updates, how are your ICs and your TC doing?
k :p

Armoured Spearheads? What happened to the Panzer-Pandas?
aren't Panzer-Pandas armored? ;)

What ever happened to the Navy? And are there plans for an air force?
the navy is more or less completed. it obviously can't rival the USN or the RN but it'll hopefully be sufficient for what's probably in store for it. as for the air force, not really...

Sell cheap supplies and divisions to Vichy. Proxy wars!
haha :D
supplies maybe, but certainly not divisions, I don't have many of those myself as it is :p

1: Why arent the amis helping their french "allies"?
the only Allies on the European continent are Americans, who never actually declared war on Vichy (its a strange situation  )

2: I sure hope that you are researching armour the fast as you can, becouse by 1946, level 3 tanks are awfully old. Anyways, sp-art attachments, maybe? I think you have got more oil than you colud need?
research is moving along :p

3: How could you liberate Oilistan, when the brits occupied Baku?
I have no idea. apparently the Brits gave Baku back when I annexed the Soviet Union. I have no idea why, but I guess it may have something to do with the fact that they weren't actually at war with each other

i guess instead of france getting vichy, its gonna be the other way around!
:D

I can almost imagine Li Jishen telling Western ambassadors something along the lines "nothing to see here, move along, move along..."

The question is, I suppose, about how long to wait. The longer surely means the furhter behind China will slip techwise.
well, in some techs I am certainly on par, such as infantry and land doctrine. others, not so much. as far how long to wait, I have to accomplish certain things first...

I don't expect the Dragon to wait too long!
oh no, not too long...:p

BTW, are you still (technically) at war due to the Italian situation? Doesn't this status help your economic functioning?
nope. I mentioned in my previous update that the Italian Civil War ended, Italy annexed the RSI. as, in the Italian surrender event, Italy changes sides (and I fixed it so the RSI joins the axis), the annexation of the RSI ended the war for me. but Italy itself is still at war, with Vichy.

Li Jishen looked over the latest economic reports sent to him by Chen Gongbo and the latest intelligence reports from Dai Li. These reports consisted primarily of simple slides, as they were fairly self-explanatory.

The industrial capacity for the USA and Italy. We cannot yet give accurate numbers on the French as they are involved in their civil war. Though Italy is also partaking in it, I do not expect their overall industrial capabilities to differ greatly; the USA is avoiding the civil war as it never declared war on Vichy France.

113-01-USAItalyIC.jpg

This next slide shows the British industrial capacity. Taken alone, both the United States and the United Kingdom have more industrial capacity than China itself, alone. I have not included other such industrial information as, in my eyes at least, these three constitute the greatest threats to the peace we have worked so hard for.

113-02-BritainIC.jpg

--Dai Li

Dai Li’s short report thus concluded, Li Jishen moved onto Chen Gongbo’s lengthier, by virtue of a greater number of slides, report.

As these must be fairly self-explanatory by now, I will not bother explaining much. These are our current researches, as I have seen fit.

113-03-CurrentResearches.jpg

We have made great strides in infantry technology, particularly of the more mobile variety. However, as these will most certainly remain elite forces, we have not neglected our foot infantry.

113-04-InfantryResearch.jpg

On the industrial front, we have made some progress with oil refining and synthetic oil creation.

113-05-IndustryResearch.jpg

Our artillery is still, unfortunately, obsolete. However, we have made great progress on our armor and I foresee that we will continue to do so.

113-06-ArmorArtilleryResearch.jpg

There has been only little progress on our land doctrines, primarily as Li Zongren estimates that the army will be ready for the next step in 1947. However, we should soon be researching to improve our hospital systems.

113-07-LandDoctrineResearch.jpg

As agreed long ago, we have focused solely on light and battlecruisers. Thus, we are nearing the end of any and all possibly foreseen upgrades to those lines of fine ships.

113-08-NavalResearch.jpg

The Naval Academy is still gamely struggling forward, as can be see.

113-09-NavalDoctrineResearch.jpg

There has been no advancement of air doctrine or indeed air technologies at this time, and as such it would be useless to show slides of their status. As for our actual industry, all our stockpiles have, of course, increased. Our 206 factories are as effective as 267, dropping because of all the released puppets but our transport capabilities (which I rate as 714/608) are nowhere near as strained as they once were, though still overloaded due to some current redeployments.

--Chen Gongbo

Li Jishen sighed and rubbed his eyes. He did not like peace time, it usually meant dealing with such topics as this; topics he was not well versed in. He needed another war. Smiling, he nodded; he thought he knew where he would get one.

I never upgraded to HOI2, between playing around on CK &, yknow, real life :) so maybe everyone else already knows this - but when you say "Italy" beat the Socialists, does that mean it's a non-socialist democracy? or that the fascists-less-Mussolini are still in control?

Not that it matters too much. In an AAR full of amusing moments, one of the highlights is going to be when the Vichyssois move on from marching triumphantly through Paris & Rennes to "liberating" Rome while the American GIs wave along with their girlfriends :D

I know China ain't a democracy at the moment, but my vote's for Turkey. Running the Ukraine isn't much good if they can just cut off the Bosporus. Besides, give New Rome to a Romanov & he'll be the most loyal puppet you've ever imagined.

He may also have invaded Greece, Finland or Lithuania, or the sickly green pancreas of Europe. My vote is with the Czech.
