I know how to change the color of countries on the political map, but does anyone know how to change the color of the water(from light blue to dark blue)?-like the terrain map

You should ask any of the map modders, ie Mad King James, Xiechengnuo, Birger Jarl, etc.

Look for "sinister colorscales" graphics patch here. it changes color of the water to dark blue.

I prefer the happy colorscales. makes everything into candyland. gives a more cartoony feel to all. The sinister colorscales are hard on the eyes

I was look at the old Threads and found out that nobody really said how to do it so here you go:
Open colorscales.csv and find "water" you can now change the color of the water.
