You need to manually delete the CK2 folder in documents:
My Documents -> Paradox Interactive -> Crusader Kings II

Pretty much this. Make sure to try this as well as a complete re-install of the game at the same time just to be sure. That usually does the trick.
Otherwise, look at updating drivers to make sure they are up to date as well.
