Graphics Issue with new update

With the new update, from Charlemagne, it has totally messed up my graphics of the game. All other previous versions worked fine with my current mac mini, albeit two years old, but recently the main menu (after it loads where the graphics are fine) is broken, and stripey, when I go to start a new game, or play an old game my play screen looks like the attached image.

I tried uninstalling from steam (deleting local content?) and reinstalling. Is it something I can fix? I'm not a very technical person with computers..

I'm not even sure if this is a bug, but i'm just looking for some help, as I have spent over 800 hours on steam playing this game, and I would like to continue to play.

if it fails try deleting your documents too

Had to delete all documents, thanks you, I would not have thought of that.


EDIT: Graphics are now back to normal.

Looking to delete docs too, if only it could resolve the same problems you encountered. Sorry for the stupid question, but where do I find the menu in Steam, please?

You need to manually delete the CK2 folder in documents:
My Documents -> Paradox Interactive -> Crusader Kings II

Pretty much this. Make sure to try this as well as a complete re-install of the game at the same time just to be sure. That usually does the trick.

Otherwise, look at updating drivers to make sure they are up to date as well.

On Macs there are no separate video driver updates, they are part of the OS. All that can be done is keep OS X up to date.

Oh right. Missed the Mac part.

Guess you can check so that your OS X is up to date then, to be on the safe side.

Thanks. Deleted and re-installed the whole thing, I will give it a try tonight.

Had to deselect three portaits and clothes DLCs, and there's still short glimpses of eye-sore graphics. Back to normal as soon as I use another view.

Not exactly the same, but throughout the recent beta the game seemed to be taxing my system more heavily than under 2.2.0.
