Graphics Card for Cities Skylines

I recently bought Cities and Skylines and downloaded it on my laptop, but the game is pretty laggy. I realized it's probably my graphics card. It's just the standard Intel HD Graphics 620. After some internet searching, I realized that's probably not good enough to run the game, and, I can only improve it by buying a new laptop, or desktop. Is there another way I can improve my gameplay experience, or, is my graphics card just too low? Thanks!

We can try this: In your Steam Library right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and paste this in there:
-force-d3d9

And of course reduce resolution and graphics settings in the game.
