The Prussian/Byzantine Adventures
Missionaries are sent to Wurzberg to convert the Protestants there.
In August, the conversion of Sudeten fails. The army puts down the revolt.
On December 6th, Jean tries to peacefully annex Prussia, but the attempt fails. They cancel their vassalage with Burgundy. Jean finds this unacceptable, and prepares for war with Prussia.
January, 1801: Jean is still preparing for war with Prussia.
On October 7th, he declares war.
The Prussian/Byzantine Adventure (October 7th, 1801- July 15th, 1807)
Prussia has no allies. Armies move in on all directions against the Prussians.
Also, Byzantium has ended her vassalage with Burgundy. Jean prepares for war with them as well.
January, 1802: Both Mecklemburg and Erz have fallen. Jean notes that his casus belli against Byzantium will end soon. He declares war on them for effect.
By February, their capital in Brandenburg is sacked by siege. The armies converge on Hinternpommern.
On May 4th, the last Prussian territory collapses. Jean forces them to cede Erz, Mecklemburg, and Hinterpommern. Prussia accepts. Now, Jean turns his attention to Byzantium. Since they do not wish to be vassals, they will lose their empire.
On November 16th, a new and improved Army of Normandie boards ships to sail for Byzantium.
January, 1803: The goal of war with Byzantium is to liberate Catholic peoples within their borders and to vassalize them.
In March, the Army of Normandie lands in Morea, and sacks the province.
By April 20th, Hellas is sacked.
By June 5th, Albania is sacked.
By July 16th, Ragusa.
By August 20th, Kosovo.
By October 30th, Bosnia is sacked.
By December 9th, Croatia is sacked.
January, 1804: Reinforcements have arrived in theater, and are laying siege to Macedonia.
On February 4th, Istria is sacked.
By April 25th, Pest is sacked.
On June 16th, Macedonia falls to the reinforcements. They march on Bulgaria.
On July 15th, Serbia is sacked.
By August 29th, Bulgaria is sacked. The reinforcements have met the Army of Normandie. They consolidate, and march on Constantinople.
On October 14th, Thrace is sacked. The army marches on Rumelia.
On November 18th, Rumelia is sacked. The army marches on Smyrna.
By November, Flanders has converted to Catholicism!
In December, Byzantium rejects a peace offer.
January, 1805: Smyrna is sacked. Byzantium rejects another peace offer. Their stability is dropping.
In March, the refuse again. Their stability continues to drop.
In April, the refuse again. They are at the worst stability.
In July, the refuse again.
January, 1806: The army moves to occupy the few remaining provinces of Byzantium.
[ooc note: We already have 99% on them, but they refuse 85% deals and take stability hits. We'll see if we can crush them this way.]
By April, they are occupied except for one which cannot be reached without war with Trebezond. They still refuse peace.
On April 5th, Jean declares war on Trebizond so he can get access to the last Byzantine province.
By June, their capital is sacked.
By August, several Trebizond provinces have been occupied.
On Novmeber 27th, the last Byzantine province is occupied.
January, 1807: No peace with Byzantium yet. Trebizond is almost crushed, and so Jean orders them finished off.
On May 3rd, their last province is sacked. Jean forces Trebizond to become a vassal.
On July 15th, Byzantium finally capitulates. They cede Hellas, Ragusa, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Morea.
[ooc note: Next time this happens, I may force an enemy government to collapse. Its easier than trying to get peace deals out of the AI when mucho provinces are involved.]
Jean sends missionaries to Morea, Hellas, Macedonia, and Albania to convert the orthodox Christians there.
In December, missionaries are sent to Kosovo.
January, 1808: Jean prepares for war with Prussia. Their existence is offensive to his sight.
On April 25th, he declares war on Prussia.
The Annexation of Prussia (April 25th, 1808- July 10th, 1808)
By July 10th, it is all over and Prussia ceases to exist.
