I apologize if this was brought up before, I did try a search.

After I conquer a new area, and grant the land to someone (My Half borther Finn), The Tittle granted is Lord Mayor and not Earl and the area is not a county but a great city.

Can anyone explain why this is? Or how can I change this?

Thank you!

If someone is a mayor of a town and you grant them the county the town becomes grand and the mayor becomes Lord Mayor. If you give him a duchy I think he becomes a Doge, at least that's what happened to me in the demo. Just like if you do it with religious holdings it's Bishop -> Prince-Bishop -> Prince-Archbishop.
