Granada-The dream of Al-Andalus

Welcome member of the high council. The country is Granada and the goal is to recreate Al-Andalus, to conquer the whole iberian peninsula. You will as a high council member be allowed to vote on important issues. I am the eternal Emir and will carry out your decisions and do the day to day business. I am playing agceep 1.41 on very hard/coward. Now you must decide where Granada is headed.

1. Granada start as a vassal of Spain. Should we break the vassalage immediatly? Votes 2 yes

2. Tlemclem (the country south of us) are in a war against Portugal. Should we create a military alliance with them? Votes: 2 yes

3. Andalucia is our core province and right culture and religion. Should we conquer it a soon as possible or should we wait until it becomes a cot around 1500? Votes: 2 yes

4. What provinces should be taken in the first war vs Spain? Murcia is a must, the question is if we vassalise them or take more provinces. I advocate a aggresive aproach taking as many provinces as possible. By taking Andalusia we can get a landbridge to our conquests in Portugal.

Downside is that Andalusia might no longer be your culture by the time it is a CoT. I'd say take Andalusia asap, but first ally with Tlemcen, and then hit Portugal hard. Aim for conquering all of Portugal (take the Canaries and Azores first, before they become colonial cities) and focus on Portugal for a while, before they become strong because of colonial expansion. If you move quickly, you can take all provinces but the capital from them, then annex them in a second war. It will cost some BB, but you will have your CoT. On the other hand, it is not a foolproof plan, so you will be taking some risks.

If everything goes well maybe I will help the golden horde later. Assuming they survive ofcourse . When I have taken the Iberian peninsula I plan on allying with the ottomans and then roll over europe crushing every heaten christian .

This sounds like a good plan. Allying fellow Muslims under the flags of a counter-crusade...


and about screenshots:

you can do it 2 ways:

1. hit 'f11' button on the keyboard. this saves a bitmap image of the screen in the eu2 folder.

and

2. press 'printscreen' and then go in an image editing program, suc as MS Paint. there, press 'ctrl' + 'v', or paste, and it will copy the print screen.

note that method1 is a lot easier, but it does not work when events are on screen, or in the ledger.

I'm really interested in this AAR, as I have yet to learn a good strategy to play with Granada in AGCEEP. They certainly have a lot of potential after the first century, if they survive; in this case, Europe is open for you and you can do the job your ancestors failed to do in 732.

I recommend you upload it on imageshack. Then find your screenie under My Images and, well take 'Hotlink for Forums' or something like that, copy and paste into your message. If that doesn't work, I have no idea what to do.

Here are detailed instructions:

1. Press the Pint Screent key while playing. Close the game.
2. Open Paint, paste your image and save it. Make any changes you think are needed.
3. Go to www.imageshack.us and upload your image.
4. Search the hotlink for forums, copy the address and close the browser.
5. Go to the forums, and click "Post Reply".
6. Click on the "Insert an Image" button. The tags will appear; paste the address inside them.
7. Post the message, and everything should be OK.


There is a limit to the size of the images you can upload to imageshack. Remember to always resize them when needed; also try to save them using the .png extensions. It is much smaller than .bmp and does not degrade the quality of your files as much as .jpeg or .gif.

BTW, I also found it easier than I tought when I learnt it :).
