Maybe. If it makes you get to 20% trade in grain you will get +20% FL.

Well, it does if that gets you the "trading in" bonus for Grain. Otherwise, no, indeed.

Nope, manpower no longer scales with goods produced, that was replaced by a modifier for current military tech level.

I knew about the overall manpower change, but I thought the Farm Estate itself still gave a manpower boost though - as some sort of hidden modifier. I'm probably wrong, though.

Unless you're not going to get the Trading in Grain modifier from building a farm estate, is there any point in building it?

I build it when I'm swimming in money.

It justifies the grain depot later on because all those farm estates produce so much grain I don't know where to put all of it.
