Do you have a source for this? I'd be very interested to see itActually, they remained for a couple decades more. By 769 they had disappeared, but in 632 they were very much still around.

I second this. Bugtesting might bring this closer to a somewhat "finished" state. + Earlier access would be niceCan we get a BETA version for people to try/test?
The map is nowhere near ready, and atm I am in the middle of mid terms and really stressed out (So not making much progress atm)Can we get a BETA version for people to try/test?
Well, Beta is Beta, it being unfinished is expected. And who in their right mind wouldn't look forward to this? The map is nowhere near ready, and atm I am in the middle of mid terms and really stressed out (So not making much progress atm)
However, if people are willing to play without west africa and a couple other areas..... I would be willing to consider it
Basically once I get north africa landed titles and provincial histories completed I'll consider it
EDIT: Also I really appreciate it people are looking forward to this![]()
Thats true, when the code base is finished being merged and I consequently merge my files into the main PA branch I'll consider releasing it if Africa is still being worked onWell, Beta is Beta, it being unfinished is expected. And who in their right mind wouldn't look forward to this?![]()

It's being massively expanded.1. Tbh, Who really plays West Africa often? its in a relatively sparse part of the map.
The vanilla provinces don't take barren deserts into account.:O
Ok, that actually could be interesting, but also, another question I have, is with the screenshots I've seen, why are you altering the rest of the map so wierdly? Egypt and Arabia in particular are quite odd.
I guess to a certain extent that is true, but at the same time, I guess its more of an argument over realism vs looks. The vanilla provinces don't take barren deserts into account.

I also just find it weird because, in a way your making yourself more work (I think anyway) by reshaping the provinces, you're having to also fix it for the other bookmarks as well, right?
They have a EUIV mod that paints wastelands once you completely surround them, maybe we could do that for our mod. It would be completely aesthetic, but Paradox games are about painting the map, aren't they.I like what you're doing so far, except for the province changing. I don't know about you, but I hate wasteland in my empires since they don't get painted your color.

True, but its worth a lookto be honest, I am not sure if it is replicatable in CKII. EUIV has a different goal than CKII, it is a game about painting the map. CKII is not.
