Government upgrades

I am curious if anyone knows anything about the government upgrades, I know each government type has at least one upgrade (hopefully more) and you have to build up your capital's admin center to do the upgrades, does anyone know anything more than that? Personally I think it would be cool if we upgraded our government multiple times like in Ck2 or Eu4, but that's just my 2cents

Based on available on Stellaris wiki, upgraded government forms have doubled bonuses, there might be some variation to this on some government types, but thats pretty much what it is.

They also change your title for some of them as well. Btw, Subconscious Consensus is the upgraded version of Direct Democracy, that sounds like it has more implications than just double bonuses.

Could be from one of the Science governments, or a custom government for the rebellious sentient robots.

They aren't necessarily final because the game isn't out yet, but all of the upgrade governments listed on the wiki have been seen in game, so they aren't just speculation.

Unless Paradox updates the wiki, most of the entries under advanced governments have no source. Only 4-5 of them have a source listed.

So where is the source for the double of the original stats? I see Transcendent Empire being double of Divine Mandate but where is the source for that?

The titles aren't speculation, but which 'basic' government they upgrade mostly is. I think only the Blorgs allies who went to a mega-corporation government (or something like that) are actually known which basic goes to which advanced.

Military junta upgrade was confirmed by one of devs, so corporation is not the only one.
