So I haven't had a lot of time to play Utopia yet, just about an hour and I won't have enough spare time till tomorrow evening, but something I noticed immediately s that specific Government bonuses are gone, or at least I didn't see them. I made my government a military dictatorship, before that meant you would get over sized ships for rulers. That's gone. I can only assume the other bonuses, mausoleums, special parks, over sized stations are gone as well. Anyone else notice that or is it just me. I actually liked that aspect... I'll miss that.

Some of these were moved and others are gone. The Autocratic bonuses might just be entirely gone, but I'm not certain of that. Since it's possible to be immortal in a variety of ways now, I imagine that sort of perk being built into the ruler authority was situationally useless at times.

Obviously you have civics+ethics for government wide (non pop) bonuses now, so the main government type bonuses got a lot more modular and awesome!

You also get a flavor government style name based on your civics and ethics, though there isn't a handy tooltip for what the priority weights for those are.

I like this functionality - yet I somehow miss the ability to define my government by myself. Of course it now does not have any real impact on gameplay anymore apart from ruler transition, but still ...
