The only real issue with it now is havomg to futz around with building slots and courthouses.

If they came up with a better way to manage that it would be much better.
I find the buildings to be a fun thing in the early game. Is it mostly just a problem on world conquests when you have to do it hundreds or times?

How about making Hegemonies also grant a universal reduction in GC requirements?

Don’t get me wrong, I like the buildings. I don’t like the bloody annoyance of going province to province to delete junk the AI built and replace it with courthouses. To start with there should be a demolish option in the macro builder.

Great idea. Click to build on a province that is full, and it should popup a list of options for buildings to destroy, and also list how much mana it would cost to develop until another building slot is open.

On a side note, i think anytime i click to develop a province that doesn’t have an active edict, it should have a popup asking if i would like to turn on the edict to reduce the cost of development. This edict should then auto-cancel asap.

One of the easiest solutions Paradox can implement is having Universities provide +2 building slots.

It fixes several things at once.

1) It serves as a lategame money drain. Building a University and only then a courthouse, making conquest quite expensive, even with a high income.
2) As long as a province does not have a University yet, building a University will always make it possible to build a courthouse there afterwards. No fiddling in the macro builder required.
3) It's easy to implement

It does.
Wouldn’t your expansion be faster if you had that money and force limit?

Uh, no. Have you ever blobbed before? Theres zero difference between having +1000 and +2000 income. You still have infinite money one way or the other.

Whats the difference between 500 and 1000 force limit? You can still curb stomp multiple great powers at once if you want to. Only difference is if you want more special units. And your free leader limit doesnt scale with dev or force limit, so having a million troops isnt very helpful when you dont have the generals for the stacks.

What limits expansion in mid-late game is overextension. At this point you can have level 5 advisors and coring costs arent an issue with high admin efficiency. AE isnt an issue either with all the AE reduction, imperialism/nationalism CB and the fact that coalitions cant threaten you.

And even overextension is only a limiting factor if you care about the bad events.

Truces? You can truce break and just use mana to raise stab and reduce war exhaustion.

You and i are thinking about different parts of the game. Once you have 1000 income and 500 force limit i agree that more doesn’t help. However in the condition you describe I don’t see how going over governing capacity has any impact on you either.

Feeding vassals is a legit part of WC isn't it?

Allowing you to use dip instead of adm points

I guess the loss of militirasation of the state if you are prussia would be annoying. Or the lack of a "do you want to state this province" popup.
