Day 1 Results!

OFFICIAL REPORT:

No ground contact as of yet. Soviet troop movments in Finland and 5 Armor divisons heading toward Lwow as bombers pound our positions there.

German Luftwaffe engaged Allied and Soviet Bombers. Results are as follows:

Air Force Strengths as of June 20th, 1944
GCS3.jpg

Air Force Strenghts as of June 21st, 1944
GCS0006.jpg

If initial reports hold up, a stunning victory can be claimed by our vaunted Air units. Congratulations are in order for everyone!

Additional Orders:
Mr.G 24, ready your men (I Panzerarmee, Lwow) for possible attack. I will order FlyingDutchman's III S.S. Panzerkorps and GrevenWhite's IV. Korps to rush to Lwow in help of it's defense. Lwow must be held.

ScreenSave8.jpg

In Finland, Soviet troops are moving south out of Murmanask. Unfortunatly, they are at the same time leaving Leningrad and advancing on our border. I don't think we will have the time to have a Finnish division take Murmanask BEFORE our only VP falls in the south. I will keep you all updated!

That is all

Someone in the room turns on the radio. It, as always, is turned to the state owned station. The usually laconic announcer is heard interupting the regular Wagner opera broadcast...

Herr Announcer: My fellow Germans, this evening we are overjoyed to report the exciting news that has been released by the government eariler about the war. Recently, some may have been doubting the effort, spreading false doom and gloom. They made the Soviets and the Western Allies out to be giants who would crush us before we got up to make breakfast today. Instead, fellow Germans, today has seen the greatest victory in the history of the Luftwaffe as it reduced the "vaunted" and "advanced" Red fighter force to 5 squadrons on the Eastern Front. While it appears that the Red Army is moving offensively toward Lwow, they now will far fewer aircraft to aid their dastarly efforts. Victory is surely close, all thanks to the inspired leadership of the new Air Marshall Eberhard Milch and, of course, the natural genius of der Furher Walz, preserver of the Reich and all-around good guy ;) . Heil Walz! *clicks heels* Now we return you to tonight's proformance of Tristan und Isode.

Now is your chance to strike with the Luftwaffe again at the Soviets. Use the fighters in Warsaw to attack as a group the moment we are bombed in a province. If it is early morning then it is best to order the Fighters to the defense of our valiant troops. :)

Well this is the beginning of the end for Finland. For some reason everytime I play this scenario the first attacks are at Finland and Lwow. I will guess though that the Armour will stop in a day or two if there is no infantry support moving on Lwow. If it comes to battle use the Tac bombers to support our troops, unless you are all ready attacking in France then use them there.

Supplies ;)

With supply levels at a critical state all spare IC's have been shifted out of production and research to Supplies. I will continue on this line through at least the first week.

Where is my Security Minister when I need him? ;)

While I am sure they your statement has some truth to it, our Air Force engaged many enemy Air Units on day 1. The bomber numbers on Canada I know are accurate because we wiped stack after stack out of Essen. The entire region of Essen is filled with burning bomber shells!

Its a conspiracy to bury our great country under tons and tons of airplane frames. Those sneaky Cannucks. Glad I get the russians.

Well there are VP points on the Aland Islands right? It will take some time for the Russians to take that. And if the Russians are out of Murmansk then I'm confident that me and my forces can take it before the Aland islands fall. However if the Russians stay in Murmansk then I need more troops, fast.

I suggest that we split up our Armoured and Mechanized Divisions in reserve and deploy them to both Theaters. However, I would recommend that we do deploy just a few more Mechanized Divisions in France and then use those Divisions later on for The Eastern Front or Italy. But for now, our main priority is to make sure that we quickly finish The Allies first, as they will be a thron in our side.

Just my guess it looks like you can land in Amiens and then hit the Allies right next door that would pinn them across the river. After that strengthen Paris and Orleans.

Just my thoughts.

(To my tank crews) Ok men lets keep rolling I want to be drinking to our victory against the soviets so we better win.

Well if not I'll drink to soothe the agony of De Feet. Glad I drive a tank. :D

So there was fighting in Finland? Murmansk taken?

Anyway, I know it's not my theatre but it looks like St. Malo just asks to be crushed by the 13 divisions to the south. We could cut off those 5 divisions heading towards Brest and crush those as well.

I suggest that we pester the allies jumping accros the river to capture land them retreating if we get in over our heads I find that after a year tries the allies get caught of guard and can be beaten and pushed back. It is a sort of risky idea with the number of divisions we have but I still thought I would give my two cents.

And now we return to the radio as Herr Announcer reports the events of the week...

Earlier this week, Der Furher said at a press conference jokingly, "Rumors of the Reich's demise are greatly exaggerated." This got a big laugh from all in attendence, even Amercian reporters.

In war news, while our brave men in the Wehrmacht wait to go into the glorious fray of battle once more, the mighty Luftwaffe destoryed the Soviet and Canadian air forces as they atempted to do harm to the great German people. As of weeks end, Air Marshal Milch confirmed that the strategic bomber squadrons of the Canadians have been eliminated except for 1 and the fighters of the Bolshevik dogs have been wiped from the face of the earth. Of note this week was the spectacular air battle of Lwow as the great son of the Red Baron added more glory to his family name by the destorying the attacking bombers and fighters under Gen. Golovanov. We must also report that this week saw amazing cowardice from the American air forces and to a less part, the RAF. While the Communists and Canadians sacrificed all, the Americans have done little and their intact bomber force proved it. We say to the Slavs and the Canadians, with allies like that, why bother fighting the 1,000 year Reich. We know this broadcast can be heard in Britain so we take this time to say, make peace with Germany. We are all good people here (except for the officers who waste their money in bothels! ;) )... we got rid of Hitler, Himmler, and the other thugs... we even got rid of fudge-packing Goering. Our governments now treats all of its citizens with respect and dignity; we just want all of Europe to prosper under Prussian domination as Germany has. Thats all. If your government cannot except this, then they will pay in blood, far more blood than has been shed in this one week. *dramatic music, most likely Wagner, comes up in the background*

Heil Walz!

This is Herr Announcer signing off... Coming up next... everyone's favorite radio sit-com couple, Georg und Gracie!

I think I could be the new Propoganda Minister:cool:.
