Mines gonna be "Why won't my King let me do anything?" I already saw that in the demo when I tried to despose of one of my majors only to find out my King wouldn't allow it. I wanted to take his title and give it to someone else who liked me better than his -57
Oh ok that's better cause I paid $31.95 for mine and if it was $17 US I was gonna croak and scream and demand a refund (which I know I would never get lol)

I'm in the us pacific time zone and GG releases there games around 0200 my time, so yes they go off CET. But you still need the steam activation.
Correct, Johan has said all except for GG will require Steam activation, physical boxes, other downloads (like Amazon).

What version of the game do I have?
If you bought it on Gamersgate, you have the special GG version.
Otherwise, you have a Steam version.
What is the difference?
None really, except how you get expansions & DLC, otherwise the versions are indentical.
Is there a DRM?
There is no DRM on Crusader Kings II. The GG version requires activation of DLCs or expansions on every PC you put it on, but there is no activation limit on it.
How do I get my DLC & Mini-expansions?
If you have a Steam version, you get it through either activating a Steam-code if you buy it from anywhere else, or buy it through the steam store overlay in the game.
If you have a GG version, you buy everything through the ingame store, using bluecoins, and it will be downloaded.
What if I reinstalll on another Computer?
On Steam, its automatic when you log into steam and select to install your game.
On a GG version, to verify your DLSs, just log into the store once and then restart the game.
How will patches work
Our goal is to have the patches released at the same time, so as soon as we hear back from Steam that they are propagating a patch, then the GG version will have its patch enabled. Expect patches to be released at 17.00-20.00 CET.
What about Mac?
Mac will work the same way as PC, when the Mac version is ready.
The Mac version is not available at February 14th, but we aim to have it very soon afterwards.

This isn't as clear on the activation issue as I'd like, but I still think it's GG does not activate on Steam.
Look at the 5th sticky on the forum, there is a special Gamersgate version.
Well, the demo was only 750MB, I doubt the full game will be more than 1 gig. So it shouldn't take long. Unless you have dial-up, then you have my sincere condolences.

Wow since when did a hard copy require STEAM Activation. There goes a little respect for Paradox... :sad: Oh well thank you gamersgate!
Meh, in the end of the day Steam makes a lot of things easier for developers. AFAIK PI were aiming at one universal patch (to be delivered by Steam), instead of dealing with plethora of digital distributors and their specific patching systems. The Steam-free GG version is the result of community backlash and IIRC was not originally intended to be. Some credit where it is due, PI went out of their way to have a non-Steam version.
Going to get the Gamersgate version. The Steam autopatching annoys me. Sometimes when you select do not patch it will patch anyways. Have had many a campaign ruined by that in other games played on Steam.
