Hi, not sure if anyone's interested, but I spent a lot of time trying to get Brazil to dominate the world and finally succeeded. Just want to share with you guys :)

Sorry my screenshots are a bit of a mess, but please bear with me

Step 1: Winning the Scramble for Africa. This requires some planning. First thing to do is invade Morocco and take the southern tip of it (Western Morocco?). Second, invade Omen and take its African possessions (Zanibar). And finally, the complete conquest of Sokoto. Taking southern Ethiopia also made it easier, but it was not necessary. (I couldn't find an early screenshot, so this picture was taken later on. But it's the same idea)

Step 2: Conquering Shanxi, China. This province has all the coal in the world to fuel your industry. Taking it directly is a bit hard, so take Taiwan first. (Again, a bit of a late picture)

Step 3: Attack Britain. It would normally trigger a great war at this point because Britain almost always has great power allies. I built tons of dreadnoughts, so Britain was no match for me at sea. I took their most industrial provinces and screwed with their map a bit just out of spite.

Brazil catapulted to the #1 spot at this point.

But France could still overtake me sometimes, and I don't do SOMETIMES.

Step 4: Attack France. This one was a little dicey, as Russia (my ally) was getting pummeled by Germany, the warscore was not looking good on my end. But a few titanic battles in Normandy sealed France's fate.

Always take the most industrial provinces and add the humiliation war goal.

For some reason, the USA can still beat my industrial score. I think it's because the two great wars generated a lot of immigrants for them. Normally they shouldn't reach this score by end game. Oh, well.

I really didn't do much the rest of the game. I basically just did speed 5 all the way to the end. I probably should've attacked Germany and get my industrial score way higher, but I was honestly just too lazy at this point.

Nice. Playing Brazil is always a fun game with lots of possibilities. I just finished a Brazil Game too. Although, i have more of a subtle approach; i like to focus more on the economic and diplomatic aspect, while also being imperialistic, instead of just beating up and swallowing big chunks of other GP's.

I also try to not mess too much with China since I feel its too much of an "I win" button. But playing as Brazil you simply cant avoid conquering korea + manchuria otherwise you will starve for coal endgame, even with african colonies. by the end of the game i was producing some 5k coal and i was still importing some.

i also conquered taiwan this game since its easy (china doesnt have a navy) and will grant the needed supply of tea that otherwise i wouldnt get too. Not much more to say, i beat germany score only by a hair strip, although i could bump my score further if i wish to. Also, i think i could have been more efficient with my infamy points and conquered better regions on my imperialistic politics.

anyhow, other interesting things that happened:

  • germany was my ally pretty much all the game
  • China westernized but lost all its sub-states, went fascist and recovered one by one of the sub-states while getting a gp spot, by endgame it just left a piece of yunan and, of course, manchuria which was under my control
  • Italy fared pretty well, it was my historical ally since the unification too, but it unified without the papal states so it had to fight for it, with my help and the germans it kicked austria ass to oblivion, speaking of which;
  • austria didnt even finished as a SP, it got its ass handled several times by germany/italy/russia and combined with constant rebels the country was left almost a wasteland by endgame
  • russia was fine until was kicked by germany also, it almost recovered to a gp spot though
  • ottoman grabbed pretty much half of the sub-Saharan africa as colonies and fared pretty well all the game, even considering it was ally of austria and fought several wars against the russians. i could get some of their colonies if i wanted to but i wanted to see how far they would get.
  • props for Peru in a surprising SP status

Bohemia is a good state for industries. It has coal and Iron and can go up to 4 million pops in the endgame.

It also helps to crush the USA.
