I would like to extend my thanks to the work put into Europa Universalis 4.
I for one never truly understood how to play EUIII, I guess maybe the interface confused the bajesus out of me. Things I would like to point out that really make this game interesting:
1. Choosing your ideas and how you decide to tech your nation truly gives a unique feel to your nation, sure there will be similarities but probably not identical.
2. The interface is really easy to understand and adapt to, the hints were very useful as well.
3. Colonization and trade in particular are a whole new ballpark(American idiom, you might now understand
) Portugal and Venice are played very differently from say Austria or the Ottomans, although you do have the ability to change that if you so please.
4. I for one actually like the map, dont know what these other hardliners are talking about!
5. Many more to come as I discover more stuff!
6. Edit: Soundtracks!
I guess the best part is that this is only the demo. Too bad game release is on a workday
