i'm trying to see if i can be a crisis doing liberation wars rather than taking any of the more genocidey actions, fanatic egalitarian militarist. but i made the mistake of trying to make ringworld origin work for RP reasons too in the same playthrough lol. so i don't think mineral based fleets are in my immediate future, but there is a ruined matter decompressor.

You can play whatever "evil" you want but seeing as the crisis itself plays into the whole psyonic ascendance path, that is a must imo.

I have no idea what you are talking about cause I never got to the Crisis part yet. I get stuck trying to make an Empire that does decent while having fun RP. So... this doesn't help .-.

As the Crisis you build a machine that tears a hole between normal reality and The Shroud (the place where you hang out if you go Transcendence) so that your race can ascend and become gods.

I currently play xenophobe Necrophages... Never was that easy to get main race pops.

Hmm. Well the idea i had just had was a rogue group of Humans who left earth after disagreeing with how the United earth government was destroying the planet with bad policies and whatnot.

Anyways. While in their colony ships they are attacked by different aliens over their travels. Lots of bad stuff.

They crash land on a Gaia world. They finally realize thst they were chosen to bring Order to the Chaos. All will bow to the Holy Order.

Becoming the Galactic Imperium can be a kind of crisis, especially if you play it in “bad” mode. Afterwards, I was not sure if it was necessarily with "Become the Crisis".

Xenophobe/Spiritualist (your choice which is Fanatic) with Death Cult/Philosopher King/Memorialist (later addition). Your culture believes that with sufficient sacrifices, your God-King will ascend to become a true god in the afterlife. The Aetherophasic Engine is the ultimate evolution of this, a sacrifice of every living being in the galaxy so that your race may achieve its rightful place. Memorialist is added later as your race decides it is their duty to record the existence of all those who will be sacrificed on the altar of the true gods.

Bit of RP/gameplay integration: Go with a Gray Tempest game. On cleansing the L-Cluster, the God-King comes to the conclusion that this is the holy land which can be built pure by your hands via terraforming. Relocate your capital and entire population here and use a Star-Eater to destroy Terminal Egress so the only way in or out of the L-Cluster is through one of your own jump gates.

RIght now, I'm in a game as the premade empire of the tree people Manweer (best immersive premade empire, in my opinion). They are pacififistic inward perfection isolanists. They start on the planet "The Garden" and I'm determined to create well-balanced self-sufficient gardens on my planets (on 0.25 habitability). Later in the game, I want to shift my government to leave my pacifist nature behind and become the crisis, because of the way the galaxy takes so bad care of their "gardens".

Stellaris is sadly horrible for role playing as there is only one way to succeed. Mindless, permanent map painting. So playing any role that does not do that only works because of bad AI.

I was going to do a "slightly creepy" autocracy in one of my recent playthroughs. Militarist, Authoritarian, Materialistic. Reanimated armies for the creep factor - imagined them to be swarms of technologically reanimated corpses, probably of slaves, criminals or other... disturbers of the society - with no intent to become the Crisis at all. Then I entered a black hole system, and long story short, I now worship the love of Cthulhu from a black hole system while blinking stars out of existence.

Hahaha. Very nice. Im doing a 'Chosen race to lead'/fire nation esque empire. They believe they were chosen to bring order to the Universe. Gaia world preference and will go psionic ascenxancy as it fits.

I have a Roman Empire and New Roman Empire roleplay empires but just dont feel it ATM. Lol

Tree of Life Origin, Plantoid species, Natural Neural Network and Pooled Knowledge to begin, unlock Subspace Ephapse later. Restart until you get Baol precursor chain. Start off as ambivalent towards the strange fleshy creatures until you discover the Baol and realize they are your distant ancestors. Realizing the fleshy things murdered your kind for no reason, conclude they must be purged from existence - they are not worthy of joining the reborn Baol mind. Vassalize and integrate any plantoid empires, purging any non-plantoid species, while building the Engine.
