not anything at all to do with ck.
Our time will come, lads. Sometime, it will...![]()
when ck2 is announced, it will be called ck2, not something else.
and no, we are not working on ck2 yet...
It all depends on how you see it:

There is still hope![]()
I wouldn't say so. Remember that Lionheart is not developed by Paradox, but by a third-party company. My English isn't that good, but I have a strong gut feeling, that instead of "when" Johan meant "if", in his first sentence (especially because that word was emphasized in bold). He just wanted to quit pointless speculations.
And (continuing pointless speculations)... I'm afraid that after today's news we can pretty much bury our hopes seeing official CK2 ever (except maybe some remake similar to FtG, in a distant future). It seems to be highly improbable they will return to the same theme - crusades - so repetitively (and if they intend to keep the initial name, they can't shift an era, the game is covering, too much). My humble guess is that, in a sense, "Lionheart: Kings' Crusade" IS a "Crusader Kings 2" - just in a form, which is expected to be more successful (taken into account market trends).

You mean we would register an alter ego to boost a new game?
It's better I tell you in person; I think this is a really great team and I think the game will be great as well; otherwise we wouldn't have signed it. No alter ego needed to tell you that.
I love CK too btw, one of our best games ever.

Keep in mind Vicie came out before CK. It's their turn.
