Good name for Norman Francia?

Made empire of Francia as the Normans. Wanted something more creative than "Norman Empire", any ideas?
Ideas for a COA would be nice.

I would in honestly just called it "Francia" and be done with it.

If you really want something else to call it you can perhaps call it "Normandia"? I'm sure there are more creative ideas but personally I find that more outlandish or funny names become tiresome after a while. Thus my suggestions for "Francia" or "Normandia".

You could derive the name from your original county or title, like the Angevin empire coming from Anjou.

If you played Norsemen then yeah, you could throw a bit of Scandinavian flavour in the name, like "Franklandi" or something.

Sidenote that whilst norman nobility integrated quickly, the norman lower and middle class would take longer to assimilate with lots of migration coming from the danelaw

You could name it Gallia, which is what the Normans of the time may have called the land mass.

Like "they call here Francia... now norman (northmen) control it? So its empire of norman? Normandia?"

In terms of historically plausible names, Francia is probably as likely as anything- the Normans didn't rename England (=Angle-land) when they took it over from the Anglo-Saxons, after all.

In terms of historically implausible names, the only reasonable term for the empire formed when the nor-mans move out of the north of France is Middlemandy (Centremandy in French).

Only part of Britain became England, though, and only because it was now filled with the English. The island, as a whole, was still Britain no matter who was in charge of it, be they Welsh, English, or Scottish.

the island was never britain before the anglosaxons invaded Prydain/Pyrthain, or the roman province of Britania, meant the part that became england. And believe me if the Saxons had taken it all it'd all be Anglaland.
Only changing sensibilities had it all be united under the name britain with the act of union.
