You should play as Baden. Baden was birth place of John Jacob Astor, The original founder of the Astor fortune. It is perfect country for WC.
I would recommend for making your EU3 game more balanced playing as the Ottomans or Moscow and trying to conquer as much of the world as possible while never using missionaries.
That last part is the important one. Also, never liberate anything or have vassals.
It would certainly slow you from becoming the only world power.
Edit: Also, you could do this as BOH by turning orthodox before your conquest spree.
