Not to put a damper on the Americans, but while 7 August is the technical street date for the release, whether or not you find the game in your local brick & mortar is another question entirely, as it depends on the branches choosing to stock the title, no delays in shipping from warehouses etc, so be prepared mentally for the minions behind the counter to stare at you like a zombie when you go and ask for HoI3.
Also, as 7 August is a Friday, those of us who have ordered the game via online retailers (amazon etc) have to factor in the weekend delay in shipping unless you paid for overnight delivery. The games will likely ship out on Friday, but I'll wager online orders won't arrive until Monday 10 August at the earliest.

Nope. They pay more money for less. No box, no DVD, no manual(?)... They actually have to wait to install it, or search for they login while you can simply walk over to your DVD´s, grab the right one and install directly.
Far to many Pros to outweight the one single pro of the downloader, that they get the game faster in the first place.

I expect to find it in stores starting August 4th. Previously they reported release dates for NA that were shipping dates rather than in-store dates - most stores still had their games on release. I got Vicky on that date, although I had to take a trip to Springfield, VA.
