The danish molbos are a long lost tribe of Uzbeks, who traveled west in order to be closer to the setting sun.

Vann the Red, hurricanehunter, J. Passepartout - All will be revealed as to what it is, don't jump to conclusions.

Walter Model - Now thats an interesting idea.

Chief Ragusa - That sounds like a typical Austrian to me.

Soarom - They should have been trembling for some time now.

Grundius - Here's the rest of their lands

Amric - Unfortunately more than the capital. But first got to get through the Mughals and the Safavids.

The uzbeks actually won their war? Wow! Crafty little buggers.

Nice work with your first steps towards Indian domination. Keep moving, sir.

Murtada II : Part 9
After many, many years the uzbek-Danish war at last reached a conclusion. It was at best a passable result with the uzbeks paying indemnities to Denmark. But Murtada was most disappointed by it for meant that the uzbeks would keep their independence and as such be a blight upon the Earth for some time to come.
598-peace.png

Not the peace hoped for but at least they didn't win

Fortunately some happier news arrived shortly afterwards to brighten up Murtada's day. The Austrians received their own Horde like event, a civil war that threatened to tear apart the empire.
600-civwaraus.png

Nothing like chaos in an enemy to spread cheer

Unfortunately not all took such joy in seeing troubles abroad. Drinking became a popular pastime amongst many who had followed the uzbek-Danish war with interest.

Drowning the sorrow of a near uzbek win

So with the aim of restoring pride and joy to the people Murtada began work on the Tatar Cultural Institute in Astrakhan. The institute would seek to showcase all the best attributes of the Tatars that made them the greatest people in the world.

Construction begins on the Tatar Cultural Institute

The first section completed was the mythology and legends section, a personal favourite of Murtadas who enjoyed stories of all kinds. The following tale is one taken from this part.

Borogda and the Beast of Jalutovorsk
A long time ago, before even Ulugh the Great ruled over this fine land there existed a fierce creature in the deep forests of Jalutovorsk. Known only as the 'beast' it terrorised the population by ravaging crops, tearing down yurts, maiming horses and killing people. Furthermore it spread messages of religious tolerance, gender equality and racial harmony, this truly was a creature from hell.

The ferocious Beast of Jalutovorsk
Many came seeking to kill the beast and claim the reward that Lord Sekkenda offered for doing so. The greatest swordsmen, the boldest riders, the finest archers. They all failed in the quest for any time that a weapon penetrated the beast it was able to heal itself using a magical ability.

It seemed that none could vanquish it and Jalutovorsk would live forever under its shadow. Then there arrived at Lord Sekkenda's palace a young warrior by the name of Borogda. He explained to the Lord that he wished to destroy this monster. Sekkenda thanked him but warned him against it saying he did not wish to see another brave Tatar sacrifice himself.

Borogda was disappointed but refused to turn away. The next day he valiantly left on his quest to slay the beast. A short while into the forest he came across an old man beside the track. The old man explained he was lost and begged that Borogda give him some bread and guide him home. Borogda being a noble Tatar did so but no sooner had he fed the old man and taken him home than he shape shifted into a dreadful uzbek. Borogda was fast and slew the dreadful monster before it could harm him. After doing so he found several other Tatars locked in the uzbeks cave waiting to be eaten. They thanked Borogda and then gave him a vital piece of advice. The beast and the uzbek were in league together and they had overheard the two talking. In doing so the beast had spoke of his one weak spot, his neck where wounds would not heal.

Borogda thanked them for the help and went on his way. The following day he came across the beast. They fought an epic battle with each sustaining massive injuries, but the beast had the upper hand because of his magical healing powers.

Borogda in battle

Eventually Borogda using his Tatar cunning and strength made a superhuman move. He climbed a tree and leapt out towards the claws of the beast. Slashing with mighty force his sword cut clean through the beasts neck. It died then and there and at last Jalutovorsk no longer had to fear.

From that day forth beheading has been declared the only righteous way for Tatars to kill evil in whatever form it may take.

Great tale! BUT! Uzbeks weren't considered bad until Ulugh the Great came. Before that, they were just as unimportant to the GH as any other nation, except of course the enemies. So the tale is a made-up thing. HA!
If only Austria would be in civil war in MY Danish game, eh DoW?

Ah shucks, a friendly monster killed by an evil tartar.

No, the Uzbeks had to pay danegeld. They'll be back!

Austrian civil war - the presence of Uzbeks is now revealed in Austria. You can't allow an Uzbek state on your border. Invade Austria!
