Goyotsetseg Radnaabazar: Part 10
A graphic interpretation of the battles of Ust Urt, Khiva and Khwarizm
Still to this day each year on the 17th of July Tartar people the world over from Ennedica, to Kamchatka and everywhere in between that they may be hold the feast of mourning. On this day they remember the day in 1746 when so when Tartars from both the Golden Horde and the Blue Horde perished in the three great battles of Ust Urt, Khiva and Khwarizm. No quarter was given on either side that day. There was only one way out alive, victory, for there were no uzbeks in this battle who would skulk away in cowardice.
But enough sadness, the Golden Horde soon found cause to celebrate as two of the three battles were great victories and any deaths were kept quiet through the Official Secrets are Good Act 1744.
The Horde celebrates two great victories and one loss, err, non-victory
Goyo had been heard to call the Chagatai's quite a few things over the years, but he had most certainly never called them observant nor had cause to. And once again they showed the truth in this as not realising the Horde was already in a great struggle they called for aid in a pointless war against Tibet.
Some things are just dumb
Closer to home on the steppes the war raged back and forth. Many battles were fought and almost always the Golden Horde emerged victorious over the Blue Horde. But still the traitorous nation was able to pour forth more and more recruits to replace their losses. It was like fighting a wall of sand, eventually the tide pushed the Golden Horde out of Blue Horde territory. Fortunately the majority of the cities remained in Golden Horde hands showing that the Blue Horde had little stomach for a hard fight.
Nor did they even have much stomach for a fight with odds in their favour (or perhaps it was just the Golden Horde's stomachs were hardened by years of tough grub). Goyo himself led a daring raid into Blue Horde territory. Due to some incompetent (and now headless of course) scouts the army was ambushed in Ust Urt by an enemy numbering over thirty thousand. While the Blue Horde may have abandoned some of the ancient methods the same, fortunately, could not be said for the Golden Horde. They quickly resorted to traditional tactics involving the application of pressure to enemy infantry through the use of hooves.

And the resulting rout
Soon the war was all on again as chaos reigned.
Chaos all about. What fun
And things were about to get even more chaotic in many ways. Goyo fell victim to an assassin of unknown origin. However he is believed to have died with a smile on his face. Some suspect he saw the knife as something like a badge, a sign that he had truly been a good Khan and was worthy of leaving this world in the traditional manner befitting a man his status.
